I don't think JVG will trade Luther if it's up to him. He loves the guy, and I wouldn't want to see him go either.

McGrady did the same thing during the Spurs miracle. We could've tied it w/ a 2, but he instinctively went for the 3 to win it.

Who will defend the elite PG in the west better, Rafer or SF3? With Stevie, we instantly will add 2-3 boards a game. On the offensive end, he will defer to TMac and Yao, he will understand that by now. Please don't use Eddie Curry as an example. Stevie's problem with Knicks runs deeper than just not passing to Eddie Curry.

If we got him, I think it would be better for rafer would stay in the starting lineup with Francis coming off the bench. Francis would if nothing else, give us instant offense with his drives to the hoop and rebounds. The game wouldn't fall apart when the bench came in and finally wouldn't be such a liability. He'd be like a good version of what JLIII.

No way Francis starts. i don't know if some of ou have followed him since he left us but he left his game here too. Even if he still was a the top of his game he dibbles the ball way too much and wouldn't likely fit in with TMac. If he was willing to come off the bench or change his game and battle Rafer for the starting spot i'd be open to giving him a shot.

I agree. He's the same old Stevie Ballhog but his skills have declined some. He's a square peg for what we need in a PG. But if we could have had him for the remainder of this season at the vet minimum it could have worked.

I'd rather take him than not take him. The added depth it would give the Rockets would put them over the top. You could play so many different guard and forward combinations.

Steve would definitely start, I dont know why you guys would want him off the bench. He is much better than rafer, and imo, rafer is much better suited coming off the bench

Don't worry, it's still applicable. What occurs on the court doesn't really effect DaDakota's opinions.

difference is tmac was going from the other end.. steve had a rebound inside the arc and he could have drove hard or shot a mid j.. but he ran out beyond the arc which used up time and made the shot a lot more difficult than needed..

I would definitely take him too. I just don't know where he would fit.

Oh he'd fit alright. The guy gives you 5-6 rebounds a game. He has a good outside touch and he's agressive to the hoop. Stevie tanked without Cuttino drilling that outside shot. Know why? Cause without Cuttino's sharpshooting, opposing teams could focus on Stevie and clog the lane. It took away Francis's ability to drive to the hole. Now with the Rockets and their ability to make opposing teams pay for collapsing on Yao and McGrady, if you get the ball into Francis's hands, he'll make you pay by driving it into the lane for an easy 2 pts. He'll have plenty of other open players to dish off too if they try to collapse on him. Between Rafer and Francis, Francis has the better all around stats. Now if he can get his tendinities treated and better in the offseason, then a healthy Francis, T-Mac, and Yao would rain havoc down on the rest of the league. That's three All Stars on your squad. How many other NBA teams can say that?

There's little chance a healthy Stevie will get bought out without Zeke trading him and an unprotected 1st rounder for an overpriced big man.

This is ant a great time to join the Rockets. It would disrupt the chemistry because he is ant used to the new system. Maybe after the playoffs.

Francis? Here!? Again!? I think not! I still remember one game where he dribbled the ball and ran the clock out with 17 secs left and took a last shot and missed and lost us the game. I'm still ticked about that from Francis.
