    Sorry Batman Jones,
I did not talk with Blondies, but I'd assume they'd show the game because there's only a few games on tonight and several posters wanted the bar meet at Blondies. Hopefully, tonights West Village location works, but if not we'll be moving to a different area/bar.

Thanks, munco. I'm gonna take my chances with Blondie's then. If downtown doesn't work out for you guys, come on up. I'll be there for the second half.

p.s. If anyone does make it to Blondie's, come say hi. I wouldn't know how to describe myself except to say unusually good looking. But I'll probably be with the wolf boy from the Quizno's commercial (he's in the play I'm directing and he's a huge Rockets fan), so look for him.

    hi guys,

after munco announced riviera as the bar, i cancelled the reservation with 99 hudson out of courtesy. i will definitely give riviera a try. there's no knicks activity tonight - should be ok.

    see you there

I can't make it tonight either because it's the end of the month. And unfortunately, I want to get in my billable hours in at the end of the month. But luckily there's a TV with cable in the conference room. I'll be watching there. :)

well, we have the potential for a good turnout for the future if not tonight. seems like people have a lot of other things to deal with around game time tonight. I'm off to the bar now. I hope to see you guys there. Again, I'm the guy with the Yao Ming bobblehead on the table. My name is dave, not Munco. Heh.

    Hey guys,

Nice meeting some of you tonight. We decided to move the location for the next game to accomodate the people on the Upper East. Who's down to meet when we play the Nets?

Blondies (Upper East) (92nd between 2nd Ave and 3rd Ave)

    vs. NJ Nets
    7:30 pm
    TV: NBATV, YES

We might need some more people because the Nets might have some fans rooting for them. Thanks to the people that showed up tonight!

This thread is ancient, but I wanted to know if anyone knows of a bar in NYC that is Rockets friendly? I know Stout and Hill Country BBQ are generally known as TexasExes bars. However, I'm looking for a good spot for tomorrow night's game.

If there isn't an official "Rockets bar" in NYC, it's about time one becomes established. This seems like it's the best online place to make it happen.

Any other suggestions besides the Pourhouse? I think Pourhouse has two locations (the original is in the Village, I think).

Sports bars should have the NBA package. If we get enough suggestions, I'll try a poll.

pourhouse sounds good. I have watched games at the back page on the upper east side before as well. i usually get league pass, but i am definetly down to watch some games with some fellow clutchfans if we can decide on a designated spot.

Unfortunately in my experience there arent that many sports bars that have nba league pass. most bars are centered around nfl and baseball. It would be cool to go to a place with a nba vibe. any other suggestions?
