What's so freakin' unusual about the "incident?" It's New York City. As for the clown who needs to conflate "God" and respect for police, I suspect that the cops care more about respect in this situation. And they get respect from me if they treat me with respect. Back in the '60's, finding respect from a cop in Houston required mounting an expedition by National Geographic, with a large budget and several months for the search. I'm surprised the OP thought this thread worthy. Did anyone die? Go to jail? The hospital? Just another day in the City.

In no way is crossing in front of two stopped police vans disrespectful.
Blocking the crosswalk and not following the rules of the road, when you are tasked to enforce said rules of the road is disrespectful to us. The tax paying citizens that fund these police officers.

 

Personally, I don't need proof because
- I feel it in my heart to be true
- the book itself says it is true
- nobody can provide another explanation so it has to be true
- some questionable claims are just metaphors
- because my parents and science teachers said so

U called him an a-hole...and Im surprised you didnt get shot. Whether he was in the right or wrong for being in the box, doesnt absolve you of your own mistake. Just acknowledge a lapse in judgement and walk the heck away. Last thing I really want to do is get snappy with a dude carrying a widow maker. And why does God need to bother with all that stuff about the son? He's God. He's all-powerful. If he wants to forgive us, then he can, and he doesn't need to go through this whole ritual in order to do so.

Little things like that are why at the end of the day, I think Islam makes far more sense than Christianity. If God exists, he is God, and that is all there is to it. All of this blabber about "three in one" is either sophistry or polytheism, and both don't make sense.
