I'm for banning Australian marriages. I am aware it is important to register my opposition on this message board but does anyone know where I can send money to support my opposition? I hardly need say this as everyone knows it, but Australians typically come from penal colony stock and as such are not morally fit to reproduce. I'm not anti-Australian or anything. I just believe that marriage is between a non-Australian and another non-Australian. And also I just think Australians are gross. But that doesn't make me a bigot. Suppose you have one dad and 5 wives and 10 kids, well there are .6 resource per kid. So the mom needs to be working and I don't know how many reasonably successful women would want be in a plural marriage so in effect you have .1 resource per child. Now suppose you have two gays having two kids then they have 1 resource per child. When you have one guy having 30 kids with 11 women the resource per child plummets and the state is left picking up the tab.
It is more common than you think. There are a many poly relationships with one woman and 2-3 men in the USA. These poor people have had their children taken away.
Huh? What about one female and 2-3 men... So the child gets 2-3 times as much? Your argument is flawed... What about all the single mothers?

I very rarely, if ever, agree with Hightop, but this might be the only solution. Instead of trying to "legitimize" same-sex marriage, take aways the legal and financial qualification of marriage entirely. You want to deny law-abiding citizens a civil right you enjoy? Then you obviously don't understand civil rights. Try taking away legal marriages from heterosexuals and see how quickly these homophobes (and yes, if you want to deny homosexuals the same rights you enjoy based solely on their sexual preference, then you're homophobic) fall in line. And for whomever stereotyped lesbians as looking and acting like men, I'll just leave this here... Spoiler
