Sane, I don't know. I think Larry Brown has some elevator clauses in his contract. Or whatever you call it. Big incentives, that sort of thing. $25 million up front, potentially $35 million. And Larry Brown might have liked what he saw in Detroit. You know he can take that team to the Finals (and then lose). As far as JVG talking to Washington: until he signs his contract, he has to be careful. If money is an issue, why not give JVG $4 million per year for two years (Rudy's off the books then), then raise the amount fot, say, the last 3 years of the contract to cover what was missed in the first two years? I don't think we can sign JVG for anything less than $5 mil per year, over the life of the contract.
