But still though we were one of the tip 5 defensive teams in the league when McGrady was here so that has to show for something man.

Gundy gives DM and the Rox a HJ instead of a BJ.

Headline should read: "McGrady will help Knicks, even if unhealthy"

    Which is actually true.

Jeff, "if" healthy, TMac will help Rockets too, that is not very difficult to know.
As for the JVG interview, I wonder either Tmac or Rockets asked him to speak out or not. Either ways, it would help both Rockets and Tmac.

Jeff got T-Mac striaght out of Orlando, for those 3 years with Jeff he was a hell of a player, check is stats (Playoffs included). Jeff knows T-Mac was once one of the most gifted Basketball players on the Planet. Too bad things ended this way, I enjoyed his time here and I'm sure the Garden will bring him new energy.

you are soo right .... we need a scoring wing .. we can also use a player that wont eat up the salary cap space that we can have at the end of the year .... we need to avoid bad long term contracts.... umm tmac does all of that ..all we have to do is forget about our pride for a second and let the man play..!!!!

Tmac WAS and can be a great defender if he puts in the effort which he has not the past couple of years. In Toronto, Tmac was known more for his defence than his offence.

I'm sorry but there's no way you can really say that without a smile on your face. Great defender? It was almost every time down the court that McGrady would stand there and let his guy run around, who would then get an open shot.

I still TMac has enough left in the tank to have a positive impact in NY but as a defender, not really.

Patrick Ewing, if 15 years younger, can also help the Knicks.

You really think McGrady was the reason? The reasons were Yao and a younger Battier, primarily.

What a surprise that the "a great defender" quote was taken out of its context.

He probably said something along the lines of: "When healthy, he has the tools to be a great defender."

Ok yes but at the same time T-mac deserves alot more credit than given to him in those earlier years that he played for the rockets. Thats all im saying.

vlaurelio: No the rockets are not the knicks? I dont understand what you are trying to imply lol?
