There is precedent for this. Penny allegedly got Hill fired, and Magic got Westhead fired. At least the Nets will have an excuse for losing out on Kidd. "We chose to not let the immates run the asylum, and to stick by our coach." Then when the Kidd-less Nets suck next year, they have an excuse to not re-sign Scott. They should have just fired Scott and signed Jordan after Detroit broke the ice by firing Carlisle. If they do now, it looks worse.
Makes you wonder if they found out they'd lose him to the Spurs and decided to "leak" the "conversation" so the fans wouldn't mind seeing him leave so much.

I'm sorry but the ones that think Kidd is stupid for trying to get Scott fired IS stupid. there's a reason he's mentioned in the same sentence as magic...because they KNOW how to run the game. And Penny had that court vision too. Honestly, it's dumb to let the player that brought you from nowhere to the NBA Finals twice. If it wasn't for Kidd, Scott wouldn't have led this bunch very far..especially with Marbury.
