    It was always between New York and LA. Just goes to show you where his priorities are. Hint: winning's not one of them.

    If we didn't make him wait, he would be ours. Toronto made him a 12 million offer on the clock. He couldn't afford to wait for us.

    I suspect Toronto would have raised their offer if they felt we were near in signing him. We needed a 4 more than him.

    It's a great question. I think Steve Kerr asked himself that question.

    GM is less psychology and motivation and more business, communication, managing a complicated staff, and long-term planning. Never was clear why Phil would be a winner in that arena. We'll see.

    Melo is a good player, but I'm actually really glad we did not get him. I have a really, really hard time seeing him and James Harden successfully coexisting

    Eh, after reading that article on him trying to "build a legacy" with money tells me he wasn't gonna go anywhere anyway. He wants to be a business man not a basketball player and a champion. So i say we dodged a bullet. :p

    Phil does't need to do much to be a good GM, it's more being "less stupid"than previous Knicks GMs to be fine

    I hate this condescending POS. Look at where you are right now and where we are, bud.

    Actually, the only thing I hated more than this douche was the fact that we wasted time actually trying to recruit him.

    So glad we didn't get Melo. Probably the best thing to happen to us in the offseason.

    Luckily Dwight was't successful , otherwise, we would 'v an over rated injury borne +washed Jammer Nilsen ..

    And we could't sign Dorsey too :}

    I don't assume that. He might be and he might not be, but at this point it's hard to tell.
