Why do we have so many posters who knows nothing about BB beside watching them?

I mean come on, why so many threads on pipedreams of getting this player or that players?

We don't have the cap space and money to get these big time paycheck players, unless we are rebuilding and given up Yao and Tmac.

no Marbury is a big no no on this team. he will not be happy to be on our bench. we will kill this team if he runs and becomes our starter.

who's gonna pass it to Yao or give up the ball? beside he hasn't been playing for a long time, not else he even in shape.

I am on the fence, on one hand, he is better than any PG we have by a long shot, but chemistry is very important....

A cheap contract might be worth a look but for me.....I could take it or leave it.

Stay on the fence and leave this one alone DaD. There's NO WAY you want anything to do with him aside from watching highlights of him screwing another team on SportsCenter.

But aren't there cases of guys getting late in their careers and getting to a team with established leadership that turn it around?

Or is he on the JR Rider bus?

He's much better than any PG we have. If we could get him at all it would be a steal, since we only have the mid-level (less considering Landry) to give up.

Sometimes people have this knee jerk reaction to say no to a guy who has been labeled a loser or a guy who has an attitude. Look, the guy has alot of talent and can still use it. Why not take him if you could get him for cheap?

But didn't we say that about Francis too, and now he is just an albatross contract, much like Jackie Butler.

HE QUIT THE TEAM WHEN HE WAS TOLD HE WASN'T STARTING

went home and refused to play.

You all give TMac crap for bailing in Orlando, then you talk about wanting a guy who has unnecessary season ending ankle surgery because he wasn't happy WHILE MAKING $23 Million!!!!

Francis? He's on a decent sized contract that we will probably use to our advantage in some degree. There was really no downside to signing him, just like with the Bonzi Wells signing.

Assuming there is a similar situation with Marbury, i don't see what the problem is. Even when he seemed less enthusiastic about playing last year he was still better than what we have.

I think there are more moves to come anyways. I forsee a fire sale in New York because they desperately want to get under the cap for 2010/2011. I know they like Crawford but he has a hefty contract that can probably be taken off their hands for our expirings.

Only if we were getting Minnesota Marbury. Then at least we wouldn't know what we were getting. A rich winning tradition in the vein of Phoenix, New Jersey, and New York. Those teams were feared by all.

I'd rather have Steve than Marbury. I'm biased but then again, I'm biased.

    HELL NO!

    Lock this thread now!

Plus I think Marbury knows no1 will want him in the NBA anymore so he was saying he will go out to the Euro leagues.

I think he's the type of versatile player Dantoni wouldn't mind keeping and his contract isn't huge...and he sucks, so I wouldn't want him. I was thinking more about their older guys with fat contracts. Quentin Richardson, Crawford, and even Randolph

I hope the Rockets get some benefits from NY firesale. They are definetely breaking up their team and some players are quite good for an upgrade.

Its amazing how one minute the guy has matured and is leading the young suns into the playoffs ahead of the rox, and the next he quit, can't play and is a cancer. I guess no one cares that the guys father passed during the season and it put a huge emotional strain on him.

DD, I'm on the fence too because I've seen what this guy does when he's focused. I mean as long as he's been in the league, he is younger than francis by a couple of months. He's a true pg. He can run the pnr, he can dribble penetrate and this would be the best team he's ever been a part of. If he's cheap, I would take a look. I believe some player play better when their in a winning environment like marbury, davis to name a couple. When its not a winning place, they tend to try to overcompensate for every one. Francis wanted to kick it instead of playing a game in phoenix, yet people give him a pass and he's never been as good as marbury except on this board.
