Raven: "I'm almost at the point where I think Clutch should ban any trade rumor coming from a NY tabloid"

That, and any trade idea ending TRADE ACCEPTED! Oh, and BTW, because of SF's BYC status,

    TRADE DECLINED!

The trade would have to involve a third team.

Iverson really doesn’t fit this team, BUT I do think his trade value around the league is better than Steve’s. He’s an MVP candidate every season and has proven he can carry a team full of scrubs far. The Rockets would have to ask around to see what other teams are willing to give up for Iverson and see if there any players that fit the team better before considering this deal.

    Let's see...

This trade would send a guy who is a hard worker, but missed a team flight one time, to a guy who detests practice, and jacks up way more shots?

I'll believe it when I see it.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO please, not me myself and iverson. why don't we trade Yao for Pippen while we are at it. then i have the 2 players i dislike the most as a rocket. why would we want a player who only knows how to shoot, and never does anything else? o thought we wanted a pass first type of player? why in the world would we want iverson then?????:( :( :( :( :( :(

I think u r underestimating AI. Yes, he takes lots of shots. But he also dishes the ball a lot after he drives and penetrates. And let's not forgot his D... always comes up big with steals at important times. He was MVP of the league a couple of years back.

The only thing bad with this trade is that Houston needs a PG. If AI + Snow for Mobley + Francis, then I might make this trade.

Include Mobley in the deal for Snow and you have two main offensive options with Yao and Iverson and that lessens the confusion you get with Mobley, Francis, and Yao all trying to share the ball.

I don't think any of you watch enough Sixers games to warrant some of these posts.

Iverson is a master at penetrating the lane and flipping a quick dish to the big man once the help defense comes. Guys like Dalembert make their living on offense through those plays. Mutombo actually looked like a respectable scorer in Philly. And in his rookie year, when he played PG, he averaged 7.5apg. People complain that he doesn't pass enough, but the only respectable scoring option he's ever played with was Jerry Stackhouse, who averaged 20ppg next to AI.

If Steve Francis is traded, I highly doubt it will be to acquire a player in the Steve Francis mold. The only way I see that happening is if the Rockets have secretly been shopping Francis only to find that there are no . At that point, I could see the Rockets saying to themselves that Iverson is the same type of player as Francis with more heart and more determination and if we can't use our chip in the form of Steve Francis, maybe we can in the form of Allen Iverson. With that said, I find it very hard to believe that the Rockets or the Sixers are considering this deal as seriously as some media would have you believe.

AI can dish to his big men when the help comes. But if he's in Houston the help won't come from anyone guarding Yao Ming. Maybe Cato will get a few more buckets because of this, but I thought this team wanted to be centered around Yao.

AI is the same type of player like Steve. He used to play PG then move to SG in favor of Snow isn't it???

But he and Steve are similar....however I like AI better cuz he seems to be way WAYYY more fundamental. He's not forcing shots like Steve does. He's much more consistent, he's a much more deadly shooter than Steve and he passes the ball pretty good. He always make smart decision when he passes. So, my point is, since both are playing similar type of game and both aren't really true PG, why not get AI since he's just a better player. Somebody mentioned Mobley Steve for AI and Snow. I would do that trade if it's on the table.

right now there is a glaring difference between AI and Francis. AI can carry his team. Like it or not. Iverson is like Drexler in that he puts the ball in the bucket. Bad shooting percentage or not, you need guys who can put the ball in the bucket. Guys who can score. Iverson does that. I think the team would win more games with AI than with Francis right now.

Mobley could probably play in the same backcourt as Iverson. We'd have the quickest backourt in the league that's for sure.

If the trade happens the Rockets get better. Though I don't want to admit it.

Best deal proposed so far has been the Ray Allen/Brent Barry deal. Trading bad jumpshooter for another bad jumpshooter is a wash. Western Conference demands great jumpshooters, or you're dead.

I agree, but can Iverson turn a team into a contender in the western conference. As much as I admire Iverson's heart, aggressiveness, fearlessness, and on court determination, I don't believe players like Steve Francis and Allen Iverson are built to take teams all the way.

For this season, he is shooting the same percentage as SF. At the mean time he dishes out more assists than SF. It is a fact that AI is a better player than SF in this season so far.
