    This has been disproved numerous times in this thread already, there is a team option for NEXT season and then he is a restricted free agent.

    Not trying to get into a tit-for-tat battle here, but my initial repsonse to your post was saying I wouldn't let Randolph's deficiency as a 3-point shooter keep him from having a chance as being a starter, since your statement "he's not a great fit in the starting line-up(no range from 3)" implies he couldn't be an effective starter with the Rockets because he doesn't have 3-point range.

    "Scola>>>Randolph" is a straw man, and is not what I was responding to.
