You see this is why Rockets fans get a bad wrap as one of the worst fanbases in the league. Everybody forgets what T-Mac did and that he DID work his tail off for the franchise (please... 25ppg is "giving up?") Sure he may have had a sour exit but he already did so many great things, T-Mac haters just gonna hate.

Then why, Calvin Murphy, and Moses Malone got his numbers retired?
also Rudy T got his number retired in the 80s.

Yao was on the team that actually won a playoff series and took the Lakers to game 7.

How did he get injured? Like Yao Ming when Tim Thomas fell on his foot?

We turned our back? The dude is getting paid 25 million a year to show up and be healthy and win

We got out of the first round pal. Ron Artest and Yao and the rest of the Rick the Ruler crew.

I love Rockets fans, they are the greatest fans.

The Tmac fans are the worst fans in the universe.

Work? He took as much time off as he wanted to get 'healthy'.
he was the highest paid Rocket and he got the Rockets NOWHERE in the playoffs.

The Lakers have a highest paid player named Kobe and he took them places.
The Spurs had Tim Duncan and he took them places.
Even the Cavs when they had Lebron, he took them places.

Tmac took us nowhere. And I agree with you, it was the most exciting trip to nowhere I have ever experienced as a Rockets fan.

What? the Dallas series and the Mavericks series were the most exciting game 7 first round exits of all Rockets history.

His drama of will I play or won't I play kept Rockets fans on their toes.

His legion of fans distorting facts and making thousands of what if threads dazzled Clutchfans.

He isn't going to get his number retired here pal.

The truth is somewhere in between. He worked harder than maybe 40 percent of NBA players that are lazier. His talent is undeniable.
His number won't get retired but he is on the All Decades team that is an honor.
The first round exit is overblown, Tmac was a part of Rick's team, was a part of that 2nd round team, extended yet he was there.
Tmac was a JVG player, not the Adelman type of player that Coach wanted.
Yao was not either, not mobile enough.

You knew damn well that he could have been a franchise player, but mostly he played like the second banana to Yao who was not a true first tier player himself. Injuries did the rest.
So I stop comparing him to Kobe, Duncan.

No. If JVG was still there at the end, probably Yes.

Arguable that Penny could have carried the Magic without an elite pivot
the way he did.....but I think Penny has a better reputation there
It's not all about the numbers. Do I think Penny had more talent? No.

Jvg got fired cause we couldn't beat Utah with home court advantage and despite being favored. Jvg put his faith in two players and they didn't get it done.

Sometimes you get confused because he burned bridges and you forget how talented the guy was. And how unlucky the franchise has been, we had the Dallas moment at Utah.......
Mavs failed as I recall at GoldenState but later got the trophy.
JVG and Morey could have done more
Sometimes the combination of Owner,Coach,GM, and players just sucks and you get a bad matchup in the playoffs, and folks grabbing their pitchforks

Just ask yourself, if the recent team would add a young, defensive Raptor Tmac, the guy would start over Parsons at the talent level that we have now.

Our stars are Lin and Asik

Screw that, I'd prefer adding a young defensive Lebron James or a Kobe Bryant or Julius Erving or Michael Jordan

That's TOF thinking, If this team had T-mac or that team had T-mac

    TO HELL WITH THAT BRO

How about if this Team had a young OLAJUWON or MOSES or DREXLER!
