Jason kid is one of the all time greatest passers and assists guy to ever play the game, he made everyone around him better, what are you saying? Don't forget this team has only won 3 playoff games in the last two years and I love this team just like you.

Jason Kidd is a Hall of Famer but at that point in his career he wasn't at an elite level (playoff PER was 15.7 in 10-11). Not saying anything bad about the man or his performance. But wasn't at an elite level. Chandler wasn't elite by PER but had .188 WS/48 due to his defensive performance. And Dirk was definitely elite that year. Dirk needed a couple of (solid) role players to elevate the Mavs to a championship team, but he did the lion's share of the heavy lifting.

At this point in time, that Kidd is probably still better than current Bev. But that Kidd was a defensive liability (erased by Ty Chandler's rim protecting prowess) and was clearly on the decline. Bev might still get better. Not saying he is going to match what Kidd did in his heyday (virtually impossible), but he might exceed what Kidd was able to do in '10-11.
