http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=aw-anthonynuggets123010 Didn't see this posted... I think Denver is going to get shafted in the end and either trade with NY or Melo will walk for nothing..
bahahahaha New Jersey is about a year away from being a playoff team... they will be better off without Melo
"One way or another, Anthony will be traded before the Feb. 24 deadline and will sign an extension with his new team. " O rly? I find that a hard stretch for any team not named the Knicks.
I hope he's stuck with the Nuggets the entire season. This way, the Nuggets get shafted for driving too hard a bargain and Melo doesn't get his precious $65 million. Of course, there is little chance that will happen. Melo's and his entourage will declare war on the Nuggets if they sense any chance a trade won't happen. Melo's talk that he'd be happy to play the entire season in Denver is a complete lie.
I don't understand the Melo hate...for a guy who doesn't want to play for his current team he's been balling out of his mind. No BS T-Mac/Bosh/Carter/etc treatment. He made his intentions clear from the beginning and has been giving his all to the fans. What more can you ask from him?
I'm confused. Do they want 5 1st round picks from just NJ or from every team? No way in hell you do that. Hopefully they come to their senses and trade him before it's too late, preferrably to Houston.
They really wanna screw NJ for getting their franchise player. Nets are probably better without Melo. And IF that last sentence is false and melo doesn't sign an extension with NJ the nets are f****ed in the draft for the next 5 years if they don't decide to move their players for draft picks. Or any other team that aquires melo for that matter, so now with the nuggets announcing this I really don't want melo and I say f*** melo to Houston
idk kno but it seems that the team that lands melo will likely have to overhaul their rosters and mortgage their future via draft picks and all btw for a player that they aren't really sure will sign the extension! this is a huge gamble!!
LOL, five first round draft picks for the privilege of possibly signing a second tier star to a bloated contract.
