Papanikalou is a great asset tool that would compliment our Pap Smear player. I forgot his name, I just know we pay 5mill for nothing

In the NBA Papanikilaou is easily replaceable, BUT that does not mean he is not serviceable. He proved to me that he is capable of playing at the NBA level, NO not as a starter or on a team as stacked as ours, but for a small market team that can see him as an intermediate while they try fool/lure a big free agent! Regardless, I'm glad he played for us last year, AND I'm glad he has moved on! When we signed him during the offseason last year we had a much, much weaker bench. THAT is no longer the case!

Kostas is not a scrub in my opinion, nor someone we should lament not having any more.

If Lawson pans out it will not be for nothing.

The speed of the NBA game was just a tad bit confusing for him his first year (tons of careless turnovers, etc)...And he routinely left his shot short (nice form/arc, but not enough legs)...In his 2nd year, he should be more successful. And with the very high likelyhood of increased PT, he will be a very solid rotational player. His BB IQ was very much praised by the staff and James Harden, when he was relied upon this season.

If/when he gets waived, it will most likely end up being a contract issue. $4.6M is a lot of money for a second year player that's still getting adjusted. If it were a standard rookie contract, keeping him would be a no-brainer.

In any event, the hate this guy gets is a ridiculous. You can tell his basketball IQ is high and his game is solid across the board. His Achilles heel, obviously, is he can't put the ball in the basket. If he can raise his shooting percentages, he'll most likely find his way into the rotation somewhere. He's better than some of you posters are giving him credit for. If he can raise his shooting percentages he's basically Mike Dunleavy -- which isn't a bad thing.

I bet some team with cap space and time to play him will pick him up. Perhaps the Lakers or Blazers.

Hope he gives himself another shot in the NBA instead of going back overseas. The guy had a really nice showing for the first half of the season before the injury. He can really help a good team in need of a 3. He just has to work on that shot.

My guess is he will be back in Europe. CSKA or Fener that have the money to give him.
Because he's a phsychology player and right now his is so low that wont' be surprised if he can't make it through training camp.

A team that should be interested based on need is first of all the Bulls.

Is that the Brent Barry rule? The Spurs traded him, then he got cut, and signed with the Spurs?

I doubt any team is going to give him more than the minimum which would be less than 1M for a player with 1 year experience. He's going to be back in Europe for sure.

well at this moment he's looking at 1M anyway from Europe. Coz the rosters are almost done and Euroleague starts in 17 days or so.
