Remember when Clutchfans were in terror when we couldn't lure him to come to Houston this passed summer? Good times. Good times...
Poor Jameer getting passed around after initially signing with Dallas after long consideration. Cuban 'cares' about his players!
Nate is making about $2 million, and his contract is expiring. Nelson is making $2.7 million, and has a player option for next year. Nate is playing about 14 minutes a game. Nelson has been hurt, but averaged about 20 minutes a game for Boston when he was playing. My best guess: 1) Boston wanted to rid itself of Nelson's player option 2) Denver is planning to trade Lawson or Afflalo.
Why does Boston care about Nelsons player option? Who are they trying to sign? And what does Denver get from Nelson (besides paying for 2 years instead of one? )
This. And while were at it, Spencer freakin Hawes was another one some people would not shut up about saying how Morey doesn't value depth and he's letting our competition get better while we do nothing. We sure are missing that 40/30/64 triple slash
Maybe because Boston doesn't want to pay for two years of Nelson, and thought they could save some money by taking a lower paid player and getting them to agree to a buyout? Denver must want Nelson "the player", otherwise this move doesn't make sense. I think Lawson could be on the way out.
