I don't know what the Nuggets are doing. The team fell apart, but they aren't looking for an outright tank. What is their future path to success from here?

Seriously, what are they doing? I looked at a couple of articles and checked out their cap, and I don't get it. Okay, they were hoping Iggy to re-up, so they got left in the lurch. But (1) it doesn't look like they had any back-up plan, or else they failed at that one too and (2) they have $36m tied up in Lawson, McGee, and Gallinari through 2016. What are they going to do with that? The only thing that occurs to me is that maybe they're taking Morey's old strategy of having a team of competitive role-players in place so they can plug in a superstar and contend immediately. But, it didn't work for Morey, and he didn't overpay for those roleplayers in the interim either.

Teams are finally starting to reign in there spending a bit. Who would have thought Kevin Martin would not even get 10 mil a year on the open market. It's a new world. Teams are no longer bidding against them selves. If wade opted out next year I doubt he would get max dollars. Which is why we won't opt out.

The Nuggets might get lucky and Good Nate will show up more than Bad Nate. Since this is basically a one-year cheap rental, good chance it happens. He'll be 30 next year and this is his last chance to play into a good contract.
