I may be wrong(too lazy to check) but I believe Ty has been an assistant with Doc and the Celts for the last few seasons. He's been earning his stripes. How is it similar? One got a job as a head coach of a team that has immediate championship aspirations while you say it'd be similar to the other one getting an offensive coordinator(similar to an assistant coach) job. The similarity would be Peyton getting an immediate job as a head coach(doubtful) or Kidd getting an assistant coach job(which no one would quibble with).
