They don't scare me but part of me feels for them. Even with the big win against the Lakers seemingly nobody gives them any love or respect. They're essentially getting the same treatment we were last year: overlooked despite the impressive records. The teams arrogant fans claim they want their teams to play in the playoffs.
Talking about Melo, he was so hyped the first few years in the league together with Lebron. But with his thug-liked image he has fallen out of the media's eyes! Talent wise he also can't compare with Lebron and Wade!
In a word - yes. I don't think they'll be able to hold off the Jazz in their division. I think they'll drop to either 6th or 7th with us, Portland, and NO moving past them. As for Karl's Sonics, they weren't a great defensive team, not from my recollection.
KA-BOOM!!!!! Just looking over the numbers at basketball-reference, his Sonics teams never finished out of the top 10 in defensive efficiency, finishing 2nd twice and 3rd once.
