As I sort of mentioned earlier, whoever the guy was that invented trading beads for boobls at Mardi Gras and whoever the first girl was that agreed should be national heros. Did I mention I love boobies? (As for Janet Jackson most people probably didn't care, but there were enough people who cared enough to make a big stink out of it. Mostly parents who didn't expect it, especially when their kids were watching.)
I think we're perverted for making such a stink over a naked breast on TV yet we are totally accepting of about 500 people getting killed, in every conceivable manner, every day on TV.

Women (overall) just don't seem as carefree for baring themselves as men do. It's just one of those differences between men and women, I guess. Kinda like how, when a guy talks dirty to a girl, it's sexual harrassment. But when a girl talks dirty to a guy, it's $3.95 a minute.

Brother, you aren't kidding. My significant other's older cousins in A'dam showed us their vacation photos from a visit to the Dalmation coast (before the Balkan Wars), and the family is lying about on a nude beach... Mom, Dad (they're about 50), and their 3 gorgeous daughers, two of them KLM stewardesses, the other a 17 year old beauty. We spent about an hour looking at their vacation albums. They are nicest people you would ever hope to meet. Typical Americans would have found that shocking, but in your country, it was just a nice gathering with relatives from across the Atlantic. They put us up for a few days, and showed us a lot of the Netherlands we would have missed, had they not taken the time to give us a tour in their car. I totally love the Netherlands.
LOL! You and Fatty are a riot. Totally true story. We live in such a constricted society compared to many of the countries in Europe, not to mention countries like Brazil. I didn't tell the story about being at a beach on Ios, in the Greek islands, and this stunningly beautiful chick, with an Australian accent, if memory serves, was giving windsurfing lessons in the nude. It was hilarious! These guys kept falling over, because they kept looking at her, although you could tell they were making a valiant attempt not to appear to. She'd holler, "No! Put your feet like this, and place the sail here!" Splash... down they went. My lady and I just relaxed on the beach, watching and slugging down a bottle of Greek retsina, (an aquired taste) and trying not to laugh too hard. We had a room at a small family run place out of town, with a little private beach at the bottom of a long, steep path. It was the offseason, and cost $3.00 a night. This was 20 years ago. Hope it hasn't changed too much.
Part of our American obsessions with boobies is that we've made them taboo. If women went topless in the summer as often as men they would be much less of a deal. If say knees were taboo and the norm was for women to wear dresses or pants that didn't cross the knees along with knee pads if they wore shorts then people would be trading beads for knees at Mardi Gras.
Yeah? well... I'm a legs guy. T&A are okay, but I go crazy for a chick who shows off a pair of good, curvy legs. And they're not taboo. But do women show off their legs? Noooooooooo.... Women of today wear pants like crazy. Miniskirts are dead. In fact, it's rare to see any skirt above the knee. Oh sure, I'm sure you can find pics on the internet of chicks in short skirts, and I'm sure there are some women who still like to show leg. But I'm talking about day-to-day social exposure. Go to any public place and take notice of how few women wear skirts. And fewer still are the women who wear skirts above the knee. I don't know if it's a women's lib thing. I don't know if it's a generational thing. I don't know if it's a "I don't want/I'm too lazy to shave my legs" thing (though I suspect this is the case). I don't know. What I do know is that it's rare nowadays for women to show off their legs. Thanks! I was beginning to think nobody saw that joke!
I think women wear pants instead of skirts because they are more comfortable. They're easier to move in, and you don't have to worry about sitting wrong or having the wind blow them and everyone seeing everything. (besides, if you've been too busy to shave, it does help, though that's not the case all the time) Even when I do wear skirts (which is most of the time I have to dress up, since it's hard to find pants to fit at my height, except for casual stuff like jeans where I can just get men's)... I only wear the long kind of skirts. Definitely below the knee at least. Some are so long I have to make sure I don't step on them going up the stairs. As for boobs... well, men have legs and knees and all that, but men don't have breasts (at least not the same shape ). So it's reasonable that they would be objects of desire. I think they look kind of gross by themselves, but it makes sense that I wouldn't get it.
