I also like Says You! It is not NPR produced but is carried on many NPR stations.

Since you seem so clear headed and open-minded, you most likely have never listened to any of this propaganda that has clouded and brain-washed all of these other people's minds. Kudos to you for maintaining your clarity of purpose.

After all, it is left of the dial, right?

Please name me one news source in the US that is less biased than NPR. Is it the fair and balanced Fox News?

I'd say I listen to NPR 50% of the time i'm in my car. You can learn a thing or two just by listening on the commute.

Yup, by far the best radio programs that do not include sports and music.

Which show is that? Surely you're not talking about every program they have, are you?

And even if that was so, it's an "opinion" show... that may or may not be wrong... just based on what they think... so you can just not listen to it and wait for a program you like (I wouldn't listen to that show). That these aren't news or informational shows, I hope.

    ^^ not taxpayer funded

Nothing wrong with bias per se (although it would be nice if they were transparent about it), I just don't like being forced to pay for it.

The flagship news program they do (Fresh Air or All Things Considered if I recall)

So what time should I tune in to c-span to get a rundown of today's headlines?

I will give you that, but they are really not a "true" new organization, they are more like a congressional archive organization. They pretty much have no opinion on anything, thus no bias.

I guess I'm getting old but I absolutely love "A Prarie Home Companion". Also, the stardate astronomy thing that comes on for 5 min every so often.

    +1

I listen to NPR all the time, but this is the only one where I actually check the time to make sure I don't miss it.

Better NPR coverage is yet another reason why satellite radio is well worth the cost.
