I said I was done arguing, not done waiting.

Still waiting for real proof, myself.

    Don't get emotional, now.

More moving goalposts! Much like your MO for the rest of the thread. Guess you aren't done yet!

    Still waiting.

I'm really intrigued by a tennis or golf game with the move. I've wanted to play the one to one controller on the Wii but never had a chance to try it.

Yeah, I never got around to buying the Wii Plus thing either. Nintendo's newer Wii Sports games all use it.

Move's initial software is a little more interesting to me than Kinect, though none of it for either systems is all that original yet. I'd imagine if sales blow up we will see some interesting games.

You moved the goalposts first, as I demonstrated multiple times.

More exclamation points... sorry for getting you so emotional. I suggest a warm glass of milk to calm yourself down.

    Still waiting.

Aww Drex, you can't leave the corner until you have the last post, eh? I really am shocked at your degression through this thread. From reasonable to 12 year old in a few pages.

Will it make you feel better if I give that to you? Since you obviously still can't prove the first post you made. I will do that for you.

    Ready?

    Go!

Just realized I didn't include SC2 numbers. They were in the NeoGAF post I linked to (and maybe in the SC2 thread?), but for those that missed it:
360 can do it. And maybe capable of it already (haven't bothered to keep up with 3D releases). Read about some multiplatform game a while back that was supporting 3D for both, but I forgot what it was. Maybe Crysis 2.

Maybe you were thinking about 4D?

That, and they were pretty smart and financed/published early games from these developers. By doing that, they got Japanese developers to develop an engine specifically for the 360. When these developers started thinking about their next games, they were faced with the option of making a 360 or PS3 game. For the former, they already had an engine in place and could probably get something up in running in a short amount of time. For the latter, they'd have to build an engine from scratch, and it would take a lot of time and money before anything would be playable on the PS3. MS may not have actually paid for these decisions (well...they probably did), but they were able to keep developers from fully supporting the PS3.

Think most of that has played itself out though. Don't think many Japanese developers will be doing many 360 exclusives anymore. 360/PS3 might even be hard to justify, unless there is a large following in the West (e.g., Final Fantasy).

    Also....

    [nitpick]Tales of Vesperia is Namco-Bandai, not Square-Enix.[/nitpick]

~42M 360s to ~38M PS3s via the last reported (shipped) numbers from MS and Sony IIRC. I think I read something that based on forecasted figures and all that good stuff, PS3 would likely take the lead sometime next year (probably late in the year). But that doesn't really take into consideration Kinect and Move I don't think. If either one take off, then obviously things would be different.

Yeah, this is probably the 360 feature I'd most like on the PS3. Granted, you can usually partially install (or even fully install) some games. But not quite the same. Of course, I suppose 25GB-50GB installations could be a bit more difficult to manage.

I haven't kept up with attach rates in a while, but I don't think it is really all that bad, especially since its hardware sales are so high. Not that far off from the attach rates for the PS3 and 360 anyway.

But might just be primarily from a few developers, specifically Nintendo. 3rd party attach ratio could be pretty bad...which is really the number that developers would care about I suppose.

Probably depends on the targeted demographics too. Maybe some platformers and casual games could see good sales on the Wii, but if you want to put out a M-rated "hardcore" action game, then don't be surprised if it bombs on the platform.

I'm starting to wonder if we should move PS3 vs 360 discussions to D&D.

Not much of a debate, 360 has some outdated shooters and nothing else.

Not much a debate, PS3 has some third or 13th installments of games that were relevant in 1998.

So that's why this thread is three pages. It's two pages too many.

Being upset doesn't mean you should make things up.

I forgot what this main argument is even about...

But, I will say that the xbox has consistently outsold the PS3 for quite some time now...and people are buying the xbox for multiple reasons, not just because it breaks. Plus, the fact that people with a broken xbox go out and buy another xbox...thats just credit to its great gaming experience.

I know that if my xbox breaks, I'll be in line that day getting a new one. If my PS3 breaks...I'll get another one when a good exclusive comes out again.

PS3 exclusives have been getting better. In the last year, we've seen Uncharted 2, GOW3, and Killzone 2 just off the top of my head. I'm not a big gamer, but I played those three, and they were damn good. Im sure there were some other good exclusives.

Oh yeah, no doubt that I love their exclusives...but any game that comes out on multiplatform usually performs better on xbox. So, I only buy exclusive games for the PS3, whereas I buy all other games for the 360.
