Guys check out this video at the 7:52 mark. Apparently the Ignite team head coach believes that’s Jonathan Kuminga is more NBA ready than Jalen Green. Yet, Jonathan Kuminga is a year younger than Jalen Green and he is falling on the draft boards to Scottie Barnes.
Very likely but he's no real power player. If Charlotte had the brains to and had wanted to keep Kobe, he would have signed with them in due time. Jellybean was a journeyman. Kobe was a high-schooler and the 13th pick. It's like the difference between causation and correlation!
Kuminga may be more NBA-ready now (though I don't agree with that assessment), but his upside is nowhere near Green's, Cade's, Mobley's, etc.
His coach, Brian Shaw, didn't say he was the most NBA-ready. He said physically and in terms of strength, he was the most NBA-ready of anybody on the Ignite team and possibly the draft. Which is probably true since the guy is built like a teenage brick building. For the interview with Brian Shaw where he states it, click below. I've cued it up to a few seconds before he says it (Shaw also gives some insight into Jalen Green during the interview, too -- probably worth a listen if you haven't heard it already) : https://omny.fm/shows/bull-fox/brian-shaw-says-jalen-green-has-it-factor-kuminga?t=13m30s
