I don't think Bobby understands that polling places also have a big job to prevent people from voting multiple times, and that that protocol for preventing double voting is also the protocol that catches people voting under someone else's name.

It is a big risk to walk in and use someone else's name in hopes they haven't already voted, and won't vote.

Trump lies again and again. He's off to a really horrible start.

If someone has an ID which they would need to register, they can vote. If they vote outside of their precinct, their name is recorded and checked to make sure they've registered. If they haven't their vote is thrown out.

We know that people who are legitimate voters haven't been able to vote because of the ID laws in some places. So there isn't really a way that 3-5 million illegal immigrants voted.

Not that many people vote, sure it would be some kind of great risk if everyone voted, but over 40% of eligible voters in the US didn't show up.....and that's assuming that every single person that voted was the person that was supposed to vote. It's really not that big of a risk and certainly not as big of a risk as pretty much any other type of identity theft. To think it doesn't exist at all simply because no one is really checking is IMO a bit short sighted. I would honestly be shocked if there weren't cases of it happening literally every election. Of course, I don't think it's anywhere near the levels that the president seems to think, but that's not the point really. It's not that surprising (or shouldn't be) to hear the president say false things....I mean, if this president didn't say false things, he'd be the first.

This isn't the biggest story because, as you implied, Trump lies a lot, and no reasonable person believes millions cast fraudulent votes. Nevertheless, he is attempting to undermine our democracy and that is more than just gossip rag fodder.

Not to mention all the intellectual dishonesty... wasn't Hillary the presumed favorite right up until election day? Why would any entity, be it officially sanctioned or unofficial, potentially derail her victory by throwing the voting results into chaos?

Further, why would ILLEGAL ALIENS do it? If the idea is to avoid a Trump presidency because of fears of tougher immigration policies and widespread deportations... we're to believe they'd risk deportation to avoid.... being deported? I mean, the mental gymnastics some of their brains have to engage in....

Voter fraud is a felony and you think 60/40 odds aren't a "great risk" - how much would you sacrifice for 60/40 odds?

A drooling post about us never knowing if Trump really lost the popular vote because of illegals deserves an absurd sarcastic response. Trump lost the popular vote and his flatout lie that he won because of "illegals" is just more red meat thrown at the segment of his supporters that believe we need a wall and that illegal Mexicans are a national crisis. It is just more dog whistle BS... but those those not in his fundamental core, it makes him look thin skinned and like a compulsive liar that rationalizes his absurd lies as alternative facts to be slurped up by his high school drop out followers.

We are not talking about eligible voters. We are talking about registered voters who have their name on the checklist to vote at the voting places.

How many registered voters failed to show up to vote after registering?

Fair enough, I'm fine with you thinking that there's no way that people vote illegally, it doesn't really matter to me. Do I find that opinion incredibly naive? Sure, but you do you. My whole point was that this was a non-story. If it's true, it doesn't matter because you can't force states to change their procedures (not to mention that it wouldn't be anything new) and if it's completely false, then there's no problem to begin with.

And likewise, I would be "shocked" to find no one has reported their name being illegally checked off the list when they showed up to vote...or someone detained for trying to vote when the real voter already voted and is checked off the list.

You are saying it happens, but also saying it never happens, at the same time.

We are talking about eligible voters though, if you aren't a registered voter, and someone used your information to register, how would you know? I mean, people use other people's information literally every day to get credit cards, bank accounts, and for applying for jobs and things like housing. Do you really think that there's no way that people also register to vote with false information?

If you worked more on reading comprehension and less on writing absurd responses, you might look stupid less often. Go back and read my first post, read it slowly, and see if maybe you can get a better idea of what I was saying this time. Read it over again if you fail, eventually I'm sure you'll get it.

LOL, you are such an overly emotional child, why are you even wasting your time down here? I already told you to stick to basketball hot takes.....take the advice, you aren't mentally capable of holding an adult conversation and I'm sure deep down even you know it. Are you just trying to have me officially put you on ignore? Is that your goal? I mean, just say so instead of derping up the thread.

At this point, Trump being a total joke is already common knowledge among most rational intelligent people. Some may not care because he or she has something to gain from his presidency, but believe me, most people (R and D) think Trump is a joke and him being president really is a tremendous stain on America's reputation.

Well yeah, goes without saying really. We knew that we were going to have a joke for a president one way or the other like 6 months ago.
