    My 3 way

    Rockets get Bosh

Portland gets Brooks, Shane, and Hayes

Toronto gets Rudy, Scola, and Przbilla

    I like this idea.

This is a traditional trade that would help both teams.

Battier's veteran presence and 'glue' can really help the Blazers take the next step, especially in crunch time when young talent tends to take erratic 'in the moment' shots.

Fernandez gives the Rockets depth at SG and MUCH needed offense. He's a great mover without the ball, which is an asset in Adelman's offense. He would bring another dimension to the Rockets offense when Yao is posting up down low. No more standing around waiting for double teams, this guy will bring attention running around while Yao is working on the post

Can you imagine having Brooks and Fernandez in the back court together. The opposing back court would burned out by halftime! I would not want to try and keep up with the speedy Brooks, nor do would I want to chase Fernandez all around the court all game long.

Fernandez's kryptonite is Von Wafer because Wafer had the energy and speed to chase Fernandez around. Still, Fernandez is a lazy defender's nightmare

If you get Fernandez and Outlaw or Webster offered for Battier, you pull the trigger. I'd probably even trade Battier for Fernandez straight up.

Disagree actually, Rudy is pissed now that Hedo is about to get signed so he wants out and if Hedo does get signed Outlaw's playing time is gone. Battier would be the glue guy they desperatly need and lacked vs us last year. Landry would really makes things interesting for them as a serviciable backup to Aldridge...however if a third team is really needed lets call Minnesota they have a spanish kid I hear is pretty good???

I hadn't seen much of Rudy play before the series and was watching the match up pretty closely cause everyone was hyping up Rudy...

Von scored more points in every game except one... when Rudy got on fire from 3 and made 5-7. Von dropped 21 in one game while only making one 3.

Like i said... I watched the dude pretty close and looked like a scrub except for the one game were he was making this threes.

Too much for Bosh. Giving away 3 productive players for an All star would only open more problems in the line up. The team does get an All star but the bench got so thin that the All Star might as well play 48 mins a game for the team to be competitive.

You saying Rudy is a scrub??? I actually think Rudy is overall better than Aaron Brooks...

Rudy just wasn't given enough playing time...they needed heavy scoring so Brandon Roy took all of the SG minutes...and at SF Rudy wasn't really a legit option as he was too weak to handle the SF spot for more than a few minutes...

but we actually need a SG like him desperately...

right now the thing is we don't have any money to sign Von with...so there is no way we can get Von...moving Battier for a legit young SG is our only option right now...

Na not a scrub, I was just extremely let down after watching him play. It seemed Von outplayed him... he blew past Rudy with ease when he was guarding him... remember the Aldridge dunk? Yea Rudy was guarding him... And that wasn't a fluke thing as Von seemed like he could do it on any play...

I am just saying I wouldn't trade Shane for Von if he was on another team and I sure as hell wouldn't trade Shane for Rudy.

Rudy is more than just a shooter; he is an outstanding passer with flair. Because Portland already had Roy, there was no need for Rudy's playmaking skills. In Houston, he is an ideal SG who can actually handle the ball.

Yes exactly Morey is making small moves to get players that will fill in nicely in a couple of seasons if Yao comes back. Bosh would be awesome but only if T-Mac was involved in the trade.

My idea of a Bosh trade would involve T-Mac and Scola for Bosh and filler. and assuming you get Fernandez for Battier.

    The Lineup would be

    Brooks / Lowry
    Fernandez / Buddinger
    Ariza / Taylor
    Bosh / Landry
    Yao / Backup Center?

That lineup right there is contender material. Brooks is an excellent quick PG who can shoot a 3 point shot with easy. Fernandez is a nightmare to guard with the way he moves on the court and his jump shot is solid. Ariza is your utility guy you put there to defend Kobes of the world. Plus he can make outside shot and run the floor pretty well in fastbreak. Bosh and Yao on the frontcourt would be monsters to deal with. With these moves, you can't front Yao anymore cause Bosh can get a dunk everytime and the guards can all shoot 3 point shots. I wish this could come true.

Battier for Fernandez and Channing Frye via sign and trade. Sign Chris Mihm to the veteran minimum. Our problems are solved. Will Portland go for it?

He is indeed an all around player but the problem is, Is Portland willing to let him go and for what price?

They are both swingmen, but I think you need to flip Taylor and Budinger. Budinger cannot guard NBA SGs, even though his offensive game is more SG-like. Taylor is stronger than Budinger but he is shorter and quicker laterally.

And not sure that giving up the heart & hustle of the team (Battier AND Scola) is the way to get better. One maybe. Not both. Nice roster, don't get me wrong, but where is the leadership & the huevos?

So you want to give up 3 starters for a guy who is a top 3 FA at the end of this year.
    That makes sense.

Trading Fernandez is something Portland doesn't want to do unless Rudy forces them to.
It has been long mentioned that Roy has arthritis in both of his knees and it is so bad that he doesn't even practice anymore. I am sure Portland is as concerned about his future as the Rockets are about Ming's.
They want to keep Rudy as long as they can,but need to get him on board with what they are doing.
