The photo is a little ridiculous, and Kerry definitely looks like one of the sperm at the end of Woody Allen's movie "Everything You Always Wanted To Know About Sex (But Were Afraid To Ask). That being said, the Kerry photo is nowhere near as ridiculous as this one, the mother of all stupid politician photos, and the stupid politician photo that all others will be judged against:
It looks like in the first photo he was aware of the camera. It looks like he is smiling straight at the camera. I don't see any of this as a big deal, one way or another.
