Now that you are used to the unis, what do you think?

Yes. We shouldn't have changed in the first place.

I'm getting used to them and they are much better than the previous abomination, but still not "my" Rockets.

Also, when you have Sportscenter on in the background and some hoops highlights come on, you have to watch it for a second longer than you should just to make the distinction between the Rockets, Cavs, and Hawks.

 

Solid. I'm getting me a Cat jersey when it comes out but i'll wait til the trading deadline, u know.....just to be sure

 

In case you don't know, I live in Utah, so I can comment a little bit on how non-Houstonians are responding to the new logo. I just recently got a hat with the new logo on it, and lots of people have commented on it, and all of them have been positive.

In fact, and this was true when I was visiting in-laws in Maryland/Virginia, most people aren't even aware that the Rockets have changed their logo.

I don't think the logo change has really set the world on fire, which is probably a good thing. It means the Rockets haven't done something undeniably awful.

 

If they continue to win, the team wearing pretty little sun dresses would still look cool to to me.

 

I think you would have to have a pretty active imagination to default to thinking that a buncha satan worshippers are playing 5 on 5 NBA basketball...

Seriously though, (yes, I am) I think the black uni's will look MEAN and awesome. Can't wait...

Ugh! No more mustard...What's with the infatuation with yellow and red? Some colors just don't mix....

The new Uniforms are great!!! Sharp and simple. Some people don't like the "shininess." But that's easy to change. A mesh type fabric can be used.

But it they still look sharp either way. Heck, the Texans, Astros, Comets, Rockets....all of them look great. Finally, after three decades, we got at least the unis right for all our teams.

 

DarkHorse, I hear the same thing outside Houston. The logo is an eye catcher.

 

I never had a problem with the uniforms so much as I did the logo.

Reminded me alot of a Quake/Doom type game at first lol, but I've come to like both the uniforms and the logos of the Rockets.

The font on the uniform looks like the lettering of a Chinese resturant. Drive around any town and find your typical Americanized Chinese resturant named "Lucky Dragon" or something similar. Take a look at the font on the sign of the resturant and then look at the font on the uniform.

i love the unis but i ws wondering if they could put an "H" with a ring around it emblem on the top of the names like dallas does, they have a star above the players names

 

I never thought I'd say this, but the clown uniforms look better then these red-chinese dragon type. I mean, they don't even look college grade.

It's almost as if everyone complained so much about how noisy the old ones were that they over-reacted and went too far in the other direction. Does anyone else have trouble telling the difference between the Rockets unis and the Miami Heat's?

Anyway, the type font definitely has to go, the space-age look went out with the Astrodome. I wish they would bring back some fo the 70's styles colors and lettering.

Road Unis are REALLY SHARP

I actually like the road unis better than the home unis. Road RED is scintillatingly beautiful. For any CC.net posters who have seen the Rox on the road, you know exactly what I am talking about. And that's a good thing b/c most teams have ugly-a$$ road uniforms. A lot has to do with the color which is more than just red. It's got a certain shine to it that makes it look outstanding.

I would say they are mediocre, which of course is a huge improvement over the diseased pajamas.
