His last team won 127 games in his final two seasons. He left the team this summer and all of a sudden, they're the worst team in the league. Coincidence? ;)

It sickens me to say it, but the Jazz are poised for a rapid turnaround.

The TV rating for the NBA do not mean much. The NBA playoffs benefit from not having any real competition. Hockey finishes up, school finishes, most TV series finish, baseball is relatively insignificant. People who largely ignore the NBA during regular season are just now starting to tune in. The league has mostly turned into a prime donna showcase. Put the finals in the fall and you would see completely different numbers.

I think it may be easy to see it that way because there are always going to be those late draft picks (even late lottery) that turn out to be studs that we can not see yet. However, you look at some of those talented players and you have got to be impressed with how good some of them are. Lebron is a player which the NBA has never seen before (MAYBE through Magic and Oscar). Griffin is a player that could very well be another Barkley. With Wade together with LeBron his name will stand out even more. CP3 is going to come back REALLY strong next season.

Also, I think there is a big chance that there will be two or three more teams with another "big three" much like Boston did then Miami. I think that will help raise the talent level of other players trying to overcome that.

For example: Say if CP3 and Dwight were on the same team, that would be so scary. Look at what CP3 did for Chandler. Imagine what he could do for Dwight. Also, they both play defense very well and CP3 is a great scoring option in the clutch (whether he is shooting or hitting the open man). I would say that despite Lebron and Wade both being better than Dwight and CP3, the two (CP3/Dwight) pairing up would be a more lethal combo.

I'm, unlike a lot of fans, am excited about the future of the NBA. As long as we can stop having the refs make the game so soft it will be great.

All those things have been true in the past as well. The NBA playoffs is still seeing higher ratings than in previous years, following a regular season in which ratings were up.

I think ratings across all of tv in general has gone up. People are sitting at home trying to figure out a way to find work and make money. Business people have lost opportunities to make money that take up their time as well.

Don't become a short-sited idiot. It's not good in basketball debating.

I was joking. Obviously, Cleveland was also struggling because they lost Shaq, Big Z, and Delonte West.

    And that Lebron guy.
