We lived with turnovers the past 10yrs under James Harden, now it's a major problem? With all the recent talk of KPJ and his turnovers, I looked back at Harden's turnover rate while he was in Houston and his best season was worse than KPJ's. Harden averaged between 3.8 - 5.2 turnovers per season!! By himself! And outside of game 6 against San Antonio in the Playoffs, I dont ever recall Harden being bashed as much as KPJ about turnovers. Defense, yes but not turnovers! By no means am I excusing last night's lost....that was ALL KPJ but all things considering, it's his 2nd yr playing the PG position EVER. Fans got to give him time.
Everything is moving at lightspeed, not everyone is given the same amount of time and patience. You are being ignorant if you think that way.
It was always a problem that's why we didn't win and why cp laughed at manboobs. And that was with top5 shooting guard ever
Hardens turnover %(% of possessions that resulted in a turnover) while in Houston was 15.6% with a low of 14.2% KPJs turnover % in Houston is 17.9% with a low of 17.7% Not sure what numbers you looked at, but Harden had a lower “turnover rate” than KPJ. And even if he somehow did have a worse turnover rate than KPJ, Hardens Assist rate, scoring volume and efficiency all blow KPJs out of the water, which would make the turnovers more palatable.
Turnovers are a team wide problem, but KPJ should never have a game with seven turnovers if he wants to be an NBA point guard. He has more tends to have more turnovers than assists and he’s got to get that corrected soon.
It was never a problem. The turnovers are not why we didnt win with Harden and you are citing a fake story.
It's a problem because they dont like him bro, simply put they think KPJ get's in the way of players like Sengun and Green. They'll ignore it when he does good and hone in on him when he does bad, its whatever.
I looked at avg turnovers per season. Harden was at an avg of 3.8 - 5.2 per game in his tenure in Houston.
Who cares how many someone averages total? It only matters per possession. Kpj turns the ball over way more then harden did, the numbers don’t lie even if you do
Solution is simple. Trade KPJ, and get a true point guard. This is his third year in Rockets starting 5 as a point guard. Fans got to give him a time? No Way...3 years is enough for him and Silas.
Yeah like we didnt make stupid turnovers in pivotal moments. Especially foul fishing resulting in no calls and fastbreaks for opps
This thread is akin to saying "there's no difference between me and James Harden - I'd get a lot of turnovers in an NBA game, too".
Bro....are you serious? The reason you win or lose in playoff series is never just because of a few possessions game to game.
Assists and turnovers will go up along with usage and ball possession. So looking at absolute turnover numbers per game can be misleading. Here's a career comparison, but if you wanted you could go by specific year. The advanced section lists out their Assist % and ToV%. https://stathead.com/basketball/pcm...ardeja01&player_id1=porteke02&sum=0&request=1
