So in your first post you said he wasn't NBA Ready Yet.... so you're saying he's more NBA ready then Donte Green or Joey Dorsey?

What the hell happened to Mike Harris? Assuming Mutombo and Landry signs back and no one gets traded, the only non-guaranteed contract is Harris. Do you want him waived?

For me it is about the best 15 players, I think Harris has a spot, but with Artest on the team, we really do not need him, he is more redundant now...especially if we sign Landry.

I think Maarty adds a different element with his 3pt shooting.....

    And I like Harris...a lot.....

I guess, I am just wondering if the team is rethinking their Maarty stance now.

I like Mike but man where did he play now that Artest is here?

And I think Head will be next, maybe they can find a spot for him. But if not I like Maarty, but is better for him to get some $$$ in Euro, the bad think is that if he do well over there maybe he never play for the Rockets again now that the $$$ is big overseas, and if we sign him, can we pls make him to commit at least two year, we don't want him as another Landry in the off season.

we need to save the spot for a productive back up center regardless if we sign deke or not

Mike plays the same place Maarty would play: on the bench in his warmups or in a suit.

EVERY end of the roster player is redundant. What would Leunen's job be? A 3 pt shooter at the 4? Guess which recently acquired player got that covered if need be?

Both Mike and Maarty would just be insurance anyway. I don't see why Maarty is better insurance than Mike.

Packaging Head and Francis could bring us a quality backup pg...salarywise.

Didn't Barrea sign an extension for the next 2 years with the Mavs?

    and NO TO MAARTY...

Let's get rid of Head and give Bonzi a call...
If he understands he's about the 9th man on the team, why not? He adds so much more versatility to the roster. My opening day roster looks like this:

    Alston/Francis/Brooks
    T-mac/Barry/Wells
    Artest/Battier/Harris
    Scola/Landry/Hayes
    Yao/Dorsey/Deke

i'm sure the last spot comes down to leunan or harris.

i think maarty gives the team a different look, but isn't strong enough to handle the nba 4. even as a spread 4.

let him develop for a year or two before bringing him in.

I think Maarty will be in the Rockets plans, just not for this season. I think he has more upside than Novak and hope he makes it next year. There is no guarantee Artest will be here next season, so you have to have the foresight to develop players and have back up plans in place. DD, you are absolutely right! V-span did help us........get Scola.

Yeah,Harris can handle things better than him. Send Leunen to Europe. He can get better there and then bring him back.

You don't realize how useful Head is until someone goes down.

I would like that if a 5/4 type were available by trade without giving up much.
That's very unlikely right now IMO.
