The medical staff is the best in the league. One day yao is playing, the next he's out for the yr. Does anyone think that was the 1st time they heard about yao foot? Are u kidding? Never trust team doctors. Ask grant hill when he ruined a hall of fame career to play on a broken ankle.

at that time, yao was given the choice of just letting it heal naturally or surgery. he chose surgery b/c letting it naturally would take a longer time.

the problem IS serious. if you need to take painkilling injections to play, something's wrong. did you see how the hell long it took landry to recover? and he's not even fully recovered yet. knee problems are no joke.

but no excuses, this is the playoffs. nobody is gonna sympathize. yao could go out and play right now and they'll stilll foul the crap out of him.

nobody is feeling sorry for us.

lol, the doctors at that time of the trade said grant hill was going to heal completely enough to warrant a max contract.

    oops

well for starters if your injured... you dont tell anyone... but the trainer...

oh lets let the other team know where to hit you...

and if he decides that you cant play... then you cant play....

look how fast they pulled Yao out of the lineup...

QUOTE=flamingdts]The problem is he was asked. And he didn't make an excuse for it, he just told them it was an injury. He didn't say he can't play at all, he is only saying his efficiency would go down a bit.

By the way let me emphasize, he was asked. You have no idea how much hate would be generated if he goes down with an injury without anyone knowing before hand that he was injured. And he wasn't planning to tell anyone anyways if he wasn't asked.

Honestly the McGrady hate is so high lately its impossible to distinguish whether we're in the Rocket's forum or the Jazz forum.[/QUOTE]

He always puts himself in a position to where he has a built in excuse in case of failure. This is no different. The supporters will have his back and the people who call it like they see it will question his motives.

EVERYBODY'S BANGED UP THIS TIME OF YEAR. SHUT THE **** UP AND PLAY.

kobe said he was injured to the media. iverson said he was injured to the media.

hell, they took it to another level and REVEALED the x-rays. should opponents study that and break kobe's hands off?

This is just showing how weak some rockets fans are!

The couldn't afford Tmac's injury, and becoming crazy!

They want to convince themselves Tmac doesn't have an injury, just mentally soft, so that the season can go on and their dreams can go on! How pityful!

The only thing that's "pityful" is your spelling and grammar.

This exactly prove my point some fans are so weak! They couldn't focus on any meaningful thing!

I'm not denying that T-Mac's in pain. I'm just asking a question. What's the problem, who diagnosed it, and who decided that it was serious enough to require surgery?

The Rockets medical staff knows about T-Mac's knee, obviously. But obviously they've decided that it doesn't present a serious enough problem that he should stay off of it to prevent permanent damage.

he did take off 11-12 games on the same knee dude. it's serious. but it's the playoffs. he has to play.

you don't take painkiling injections if it's not serious. he just has to play b/c it's do or die right now.

It's not serious enough though for the medical staff to pull him from the game. And that same medical staff and the Rockets organization are strangely silent about T-Mac's injury.

Tmac is still playing! He didn't say he will be out of tonight game.

    Stop overracting!

If he chooses surgery, he will do it this summer and won't affect his games in this postseason or next season.

No one doubts he is injured, what people are tired of is him making it sounds worse than it is to prop himself up.

But would I am more concerned about is whether or not he is actually going to run Adelman's offense and move off the ball.

Because if not, the team will have a much harder time winning tonight's game...

beggining of the year we heard the big stiff needed surgery on his shoulder too...

you are making excuses... probably because... you have no life and identify with the guy... who happens to be weak inside and out...

other players in the league see it... maybe you should too...

    I don't know if I buy this, I think he's embelleshing.

    Is Mac just a moron?

He's talking about sending a message to Utah tonight, and now all of a sudden his knee is a serious injury.

If he plays well the rest of the series, by attacking the basket, making FTs and leading this team, win or lose, I will respect him more.

But right now, respect for Tmac around the league is at an all time low.........because of how he caves in to pressure.
