The Rockets are about to be eliminated, so quite naturally an injury is going to pop up. Majority of time I have notice that an injury allways pops up on the losing superstar team.

So who else expects to see the patented Tmac limp if (hopefully this doesn't happen) the Rockets are losing big in the second half OR if Tmac is shooting something like 4/16?

the same medical staff that didn't recognize the severity of his knee injury the first time and tmac was the one who was RIGHT when he said he didn't want to take an MRI b/c he thought it was serious. guess what? when they damn doctors did take another look, it was MORE serious.

Yes, it was a little serious, a bruised tendon. That did not require anything more than rest.

The problem is that Tmac has a history of exagerating injuries....making them sound worse than they are....nothing new here.

It is just another case of him talking when he should have just played.

you're making excuses if you come out and say it. has he ever complained about his shoulder? knee? when he wasn't asked.

he ended the interview saying, "everybody is playing with some type of injury right now so he just has to deal with it." he said this when TNT interviewed him last night after practice.

sometimes it's best to read the ENTIRE interview or know all the facts before you post. don't just criticize just to criticize.

If u can't tell he doesn't have lift, don't know what to say. His back should be hurting from carrying this sorry roster.

    melo? no
    iverson? no
    bosh? no

and we are already undermanned and a lot of our players are injured. you really think people care if tmac has another injury? he was already playing injured. and nobody picked us to win in the first place. so what's the point just to have an injury "pop up?"

it was a "little" serious? and yet what did the medical staff at first? they thought it was day to day and just let him come back sporadically and worsened it.

the same medical staff that claims landry's knee injury is nothing serious and it took him what? a bajillion games to just come close to 85% of what he used to be?

our medical staff is bad. accept that fact.

did you watch the TNT interview last night. he said every player is injured right now so he just has to play through it. he made no excuses.

the TNT female reporter asked him about the knee, he answered. then he said he just has to play.

The point is that in both cases surgery wasn't required, only rest.

Now T-Mac's saying he needs surgery. Did he diagnose himself? If the problem's that bad how is it that the medical staff, or the diagnosing physician, hasn't held a press conference?

Yes, I am glad he is playing through pain, like pretty much everyone else on the entire team.....or in the playoffs.

well, the stress fracture yao suffered technically can heal with rest.

if the knee problem is a recurrent one, then you probably will need surgery to fix it. and no medical staff is going to hold a press conference on a minor knee injury. unless it's a "season-ending" type of things, they don't hold pressure conferences. and tmac is still playing.

he said he "MIGHT" need surgery. and he probably "MIGHT." this knee has been a problem since last yr. they might need to go in there just to clean something up.

I didn't hear him say surgery, or see it in the quote. I think he was intentionally avoiding the word. This thread is way to speculative.

Says who? The trick with Yao's injury was that it was serious enough that continuing to play on it could have resulted in permanent damage. If the problem with McGrady's knee is serious enough to require surgery then shouldn't the medical staff have been consulted about whether it's okay to let him play?

Again, what's the diagnosis and who performed it? McGrady himself?

again, the problem with this board is that people again EXAGGERATE on his comments. the same way people claim tmac EXAGGERATE his injuries.

    ironic isn't it?

Look Tmac exagerates, everyone knows it, other team's fans joke about it.

Big deal, move on....he is what he is......a flawed 2nd tier star.
