Yeah, I figured most people would say that. I felt like I would end up either really loving AC or hating it (or possibly somewhere in-between). With COD4, I figured I'd either like it or slightly dislike it. I guess I ended up liking it. It is pretty intense the whole way, which definitely makes the gameplay that much better. The graphics really are amazing in this game too. You kind of want to sit and look at the pretty explosions, but then you get killed by a grenade. The game does allow you to take in the scenery at certain points of the game though, allowing for some pretty powerful moments actually. But yeah, these games probably aren't for me. The story was basically what I thought it would be, and it didn't really interest all that much. Just felt like I was going from point A to point B, trying to kill as many people and destroy as many things as I could. Only took me a little over 4hrs to beat I think (from ~3PM to ~7PM), which I guess could be a negative (although it was a pretty intense 4 hours to be fair). Doesn't really bother me that much since I wasn't planning on it being a long game (nor did I spend $60 on it). I guess if it was longer (15-20 hrs), I probably would have quit before I got to the end. Guns seemed kind of boring...but then again, they can't really use guns that are based on alien designs or anything like that. I'm sure multiplayer is great too, although I probably won't bother with it.
Yeah, I get that feeling during single player as well...but I do still enjoy it. I think the multiplayer is better though. I feel like Im really in a war.
AC is alright. Graphics in it are beautiful, and so are the animations. But overall, the game play just isn't that fun. At least with COD4, with online play there is a better play value.
