My friend just left the game and I'm ragging on him about being a fairweather mavs fan. (He's actually been a hardcore supporter for years but he was absolutely disgusted with the Mavs tonight).
Yeh I was at the Mavs/Rocks game last thurs and people starting filing out with more than 3 minutes to go.
I don’t foresee JO’s past health issues as being a problem as he’s never really had MAJOR surgery. He just happened to play for 2 years without letting his initial injury heal, fostering further problems. He’s healthy now, it’s just a matter of time before he steps his own game to another level. As for Bosh, you mentioned that his ‘game’ and ‘physique’ were inadequate and unfavourable for him to become a superstar in this league... Have you thrown this argument out the window?
I disagree, I really think he has a great handle for a rebounder of his size. He can get to the rim off the dribble against any PF in the league. Sure, he has started off slow, but I attribute that more to the Bulls overall team play than Tyson as an individual. He is super quick, extremely athletic, and is actually a much harder worker than Stromile ever was(I don't know where you are getting that he is lazy?). He is averaging 10 pts, 7 rebs, 3 blks, 1 stl in 32 minutes a game this year. His 20 percent shooting is just a fluke, that will rise for sure.........
As long as Bosh gets baskets when the going gets tough, I'm fine with it. But skinny PFs who rely too much on perimeter shooting will struggle in crunch time. If he continues drawing fouls, playing "macho" and doesn't revert to being soft when the going gets tough, Bosh will be fine. It's early. Check back in 30 games. knote32, if you watch the Bulls much you know TT is notorious for not hustling back on defense. I've lost count of the number of times he takes a stupid shot, his man breaks away and the other team gets an easy basket. At the SF position, I doubt another player in the NBA gets beat downcourt by his man more often. Save for rare exceptions, TT just doesn't like running at full speed. Sometimes when he misses a shot, it's like he needs 5-6 seconds to get over it (I exaggerate some). Yes, TT is "super quick, extremely athletic, and is actually a much harder worker than Stromile ever was". I agree. You say "he can get to the rim off the dribble against any PF in the league". For someone like that, he sure doesn't produce much besides the occasional tease of a game every now and then. I believe the problem is between his ears and TT is incapable of continued production over a long NBA season.
Has anybody else been watching Millsap for the last 6 or 7 minutes of the Jazz game? Utter domination. He is grabbing every rebound and loose ball and just scored the last 15 points or so for the Jazz.
Avery had to go. The Mavs players were sick and tired of him went to Cuban about it. Trading Harris for Kidd was clearly a bad trade.
