I wanted Chuck out there... because he protects Yao from getting in foul trouble atleast early in the game...

Yao get in foul trouble sits... and we are dead...

also I thought JVG was in the if it aint broke don't fix it... or are we just going to ignore the best player combinations...to start a game...

i dont care if Yao is triple teammed... for one thing... we have seen him score against that type of defense before...

and for another thing the amount of touches Yao got... did it really matter if the floor was spread for him...

The coach took a gamble and Novak didn't capitalize. That's all. If he shot and maid the 1st 3 3pts he took, then the coach is a genius! But he didn't. And the point about not wanting to put Deke in there is correct. Deke is too slow for the suns and he's no use on the offensive end. So Hayes is the backup C/PF. No Howard.(hurt).
Good for Novak that he had a "start" in the NBA. Not many active players have that distinction. Certainly not a 2nd round rookie. :)

The funny and sad thing about starting Novak is that JVG (who is looking overmatched lately) will somehow find a way to purnish Novak and not give him any meaningful playing time as the weeks role by unless an injury or some other weird occurence force him.

Hey JVG, you cannot purnish Novak for a problem you created - you forced him into a tight corner.

Sad as it may be, I am expecting JVG to DNP Novak for an indefinite period of time. Poor Novy.
