    Novakaine
Feels no pressure and no pain
He's so good, has ice in his veins
This kid just lets the three pointers rain

    Supernovak
When the Rockets are out he brings them right back
    He's lights out and that's a fact
Here he comes again on the attack

    ^^^i'm with stupid.

I'm gonna call him The Net (drop the "Nothing But" part) or Dead-Eye.

    Steve "The Net" Novak
    Steve "Dead-Eye" Novak

sounds and rolls off the tongue so much better.

hell, Treyminator is also a great choice. granted, they were all my suggestions but that still doesn't mean they weren't great.

I know it's too late now. But, I like Jimmy Chitwood as the nickname for Novak. You know, the white guy with the killer shot from Hoosiers. Just a thought.

I haven't voted. But I promise if it comes down to one vote difference in the end, I'll then cast my vote to make it tied again.

Far be it for me to be the bearer of bad news, but neither of these names will stick. They simply don't sound like NBA nicknames. "Swish" had more of a chance. His friends on the team will likely nickname him. Thanks for all the work, though.

How about an option such as:

None, back to the drawing board!

Just because of this doens't mean people are going to call him these names. So leave it to Bill Worrell

Well, actually it's premature to give him a nick name. I mean, Robert Horry didn't have his until later in his career (Big Shot Bob)....and Steve Kerr never really had one. Karl Malone became the mailman because he delivered for so many years. And Gary Payton the glove for his crazy defense.

Vinny Johnson - the microwave because he was so hot-and-cold

So a lot of nick names have to do with style of play then anything else.

So Novak's will be defined by his play....none of these are going to stick because no one knows what he will be like. His nickname may stem from something we have no idea about.
