I honestly still don't understand why it matter as Steele has a career history of excellence in his field of spy craft and his expertise in Russian affairs. It was a solid hire. Some of this post is actually accurate. It makes perfect sense that Nunes should resign as chairman after building up such huge deal about the memo and then releasing this #nothing-burger is another straw to add to the camels back that he should resign. It's funny that Trump fans seem to have given up arguing the merits of the memo, and are trying to convince folks and possibly themselves that the memo must be important because of Democrats pointing out that the memo doesn't paint an accurate picture and that they show how big of a turd the memo actually is. Somehow that reaction is why the memo must surely be valid and important. I guess when the memo has no real merits to argue they might as well try and claim it is significant based on the reaction of Democrats. LOL!
I agree with you. This is not a nothing-burger. Trump’s twitter response indicates that the memo vindicates Trump on the whole Russian obstruction/ collusion case. Thus, Trump released this memo to thwart and end the Mueller investigation. What does that spell? O-B-S-T-R-U-C-T-I-O-N. Of course, the memo does not do what Trump thinks it does. Not even close. Trump probably should read the whole 3 1/2 pages. Then Trump’s very good brain would have saved him from himself. Nunes should probably go look for a lawyer. Mueller now has him in his sights.

Washington Free Beacon has close ties to the GOP. Let's look at the facts shall we? 1. The memo reveals that it was not Page who began the Russia investigation but rather Papadopoulos. 2. The memo reveals the investigation started BEFORE the dossier 3. The memo also reveals that three different judges approved monitoring of Page which could not have been done unless they got NEW evidence each time - that alone shows that the dossier wasn't the only evidence but rather they kept finding new things to persuade 3 different judges to ok warrants. 4. Nunes has admitted he didn't review intelligence before writing the memo. 5 Trump just decided not to enforce the new sanctions on Russia passed by Congress and signed by himself - ironic considering that the Steele's allegation is that Page was meeting with Russians to work out a deal to swap sanction relief for interfering with the election. The memo was a political stunt - we all know it. Most Americans know it. It's a last ditch effort by Trump to derail the investigation into his obstruction of justice and worse. He knows he is in trouble and he is willing to burn the whole republic down to escape being a criminal. You say you hate Trump? You should, he's destroying your party and country.
