Ask Rudy and/or Francis if Steve is still going to slap the backboard this season if the refs are still calling techs on him for it. Also, ask Rudy if he still drinks one huge cup of sode each quarter during games, and if so, how much sleep he gets each night.
People thougt i was crazy when I told then Griffin was a 4. I got that from draft day and the pursuit of Webber. Silently, when the Rockets drafted Eddie the said ,we've got our future 4 we don't need Webber. If the brass thought Griffin of being a 3, they wouldn't have traded for Rice and not pursued Webber. Tell me this, how does drafted a rookie 3 man take you out of the market for for a 28yr old top 10 4 player in the nba? If the rockets would have offered C.Webb the max, which was about 90+mill, traded dream, let taylor, anderson, norris, and bullard go about their way, would that be a top 3 team in the west? The rockets could have fielded Cato,Cat,Steve,Griffin, and Webber with Collier,Langhi, Morris, Thomas, Jones,Torres, and Jones off the bench. Is that a lineup or what? I know people will say , they wouldn't have signed Taylor if they hadn't plan to keep him. I don't think thats true at all. Taylor signing was just insurance and to help keep the pressure off the rookie, thats all. Seeing the way Taylor stays in foul trouble, Griiffin would get 20-25 min per. if Griffin is the player everyone thinks he is, next year he would get more than that. At the end of next year, Taylor would be very good trade bait. His contract, 6yr 48mil may not seem that much 2 or 3 years from now, so it wouldn't be that hard to move for a 27yr old 4. Even with the Jackson signing it may be more evidence that Taylor and Cato will be moved by the time the new arena opens. I've said it once before, when Taylor comes back next year, he'll be on bench patrol. Its a shrewd business, but its no different than any other. I have no problems with Taylor, but he's a underachiever as well. I can't wait till the season starts.
