Note to Morey: Your going about this wrong

Melo is overrated. Going after Lebron is what the goal should be.

 

You can roll eyes all you want and try and shift your supporting information all day long, but it doesn't change the underlying point that you are just plain wrong.

 

you guys are fogetting we faced the blazers in the playoffs. they're not a good defensive team. i dunno why rockets fans who are basketball heads would think we can do anything worthwhile with the same offense as last season. its mostly one-on-one basketball. you think an offense like that can win a championship?

 

to me, its surprising rockets had such a high scoring offense in the regular season and playoffs. the other team almost always knows what we're gonna do.

shows you two things
1 - the power of star players
2 - how much the league favors offense over defense. there's only a handful of good defensive team each season. the rest are average or suck at defense.

 

This is why Morey isn't a good NBA GM

There's no doubt the guy is smart BUT there's a point when being too aggressive can cost you and this is where we are now. I've had enough of Morey. Bring in someone else.

Seriously? Morey's JOB is to make the team better, he swung for the fences, we still have a 54 win team, and have some good young talent that will only get better.

I am very happy with the job he has done, as long as he matches Parsons.
