I don't see us gaining a whole lot in that scenario and the draft is pretty weak anyway.

    WIN. NAO!

I never jumped on the "bandwagon" this year. Can I diss them and make fun of them and hope for a lottery pick?

Last year Oklahoma and San Antonio clinched the 7th and 8th spot with 32 losses.

Back in 2008 Utah got the 8th spot with 34 losses.

2007 it was Denver with 32.

2006 it was LA and Golden State for 7th and 8th with 40 losses.

So looking at it through a span of a few years, its roughly an average of 32-40 losses for a team to clinch the 8th or 7th spot.

These can drastically change of course, but the point is that at 32 losses for the Rockets, every game really really counts for us now. If we ever get another streak of L5 at this point could be the end of any playoffs hope.

So i guess you really can't blame some people if they would be disappointed. Heck i would be lying if i said that i wasn't to some degree. It just so happens that it really hurts for your team to lose at this point.

There is this saying which is kinda corny but otherwise true, "You cannot say that you really believed or loved something or someone, unless you knew how it felt to be disappointed in them."

The folks who are the most "disappointed" in the Rockets were those who drank the red koolaid and bought into their PR campaign. The reality is that there really wasn't a bandwagon to begin with because that (bandwagon) assumes that said team is actually going somewhere. That would have been something as this is a team that has being going nowhere now for over a decade. If you go back and look at what wasn't done in the off season personnel wise and examine DM's decison to rely on the oft-injured Yao Ming one more time, it becomes obvious that this team was not put into a position for success this season. That's why I didn't expect much of anything from the Rockets this season and so far I haven't been disappointed in their record. It is what it is and no amount of PR spinning nor false hope can change that fact. With regards to the Rockets, if the past 30+ years have taught me anything it is to expect nothing from them so consequently, I get disappointed.

    I agree with your assessment....

but you guys need to realize that if someone is taking the time to come post in here in the midst of the Rockets 2010/11 season, they're probably not a bandwagon fan. There is very, very little to bandwagon, here, right now.

    GO ROCKETS!
