maybe Shaq-Kobe-Glen Rice but that's very short lived. Rice was the closest thing to a 3rd big star on those teams till Karl Malone.
Shaq, Kobe, Rice Shaq, Penny, Grant Dr. J, Moses, Barkley Mookie, Steve Smith, Mutombo Joe Johnson, Horford, j smoove Paul, Griffen, Crawford Ewing, Starks, Oakley Hakeem, Sampson, Sleepy Robinson, Elliott, AJ Thomas, Dumars, Lambeer Pack, Ellis, Mutombo
Both of these were already mentioned, but I want to give some further details on them: Kidd/Jackson/Mashburn: Back to back to back lottery picks for the Mavs in the 92,93 and 94 drafts turned into this. The potential was there. Jackson and Mashburn were big time scorers from the wing and Kidd was a top facilitator coming out of college. Injuries and ego got in the way of this group. Jackson and Mashburn were never the players they should have been due to injury, and with them injured in the beginning, Kidd wouldn't come into his own until he left Dallas. There is also the story of all 3 of them fighting over Toni Braxton I believe which would have hurt the trio even if all guys were healthy. Cassell/Allen/Robinson: Now this one was much more. The Bucks teams of the early 2000's are a forgotten team, but they were a great team. All 3 players were in there primes (Robinson slightly off of his) and each was a key contributor. There best run was in the 2000-2001 season when they lost to the Sixers in the Eastern Finals. I remember at the time really wanting to see a Bucks/Lakers Finals as I thought the Bucks matched up much better against the Lakers than the Sixers did. Iverson was great and stole a game against the Lakers, but that's all the Sixers had. The Bucks with Cassell, Allen and Robinson would have extended the Lakers further than the Sixers did. I'm not saying they would have won, but they would have given them a battle like the Pacers did they year before.
Nowitzki, Nash, Finley Robinson, Duncan, Elliot Carter, Kidd, Jefferson Ewing, Starks, Mason/Jackson Daugherty, Mark Price, Rex Chapman?
name one team in the history of the NBA who had not one, not two, not three, not four, but FIVE players who were voted to the NBA top 50 Greatest players of all-time? Not over the history of the franchise but on the team in the same yr? What did you want me to do.....leave one of them off?
wow, a man after my own heart. i forgot about this team, this is the first team jordan beat on the way to championship four. i wanted the rockets to trade for tim hardaway when they traded for barkley tim hardaway had two seasons of over 20 pts and 10 assists
I picked a healthy Ron Harper over Nance. Before his knee injury, Harper was right up there with Clyde as the second best SG in the NBA.
