I don't know if i find more fault with you're knowledge of the game or you're fandom.

What Houston Rockets fan would question the validity of their two championships?...and post it on a rockets forum...with the part of the name being the very thing that validates their championships.

...i usually don't use this word but you FAIL...as a rockets fan...and you can't take this class again.

Dude we got owned by the Jazz when we had an even better team in Hakeem, Barkley and Drexler.

Bulls would have killed us in 1994. 1995 is where we could have beaten them.

Whose questioning the validity of anything? The Championships are legit because we actually won them. It's like saying Kareem's title in 1971 was not legit because Bill Russell wasn't around.

We have to go by what happened and the Rockets won the titles.

no cause you know absolutely nothing about the Houston Rockets and the NBA.
Don't even pretend to know about the 90s Rockets cause everything you say is a pure insult to all of us who were fans of those teams.

don't whine about your rookie status either. its not going to change.

Sure I know about the Rockets. If we werent good enough to get out of the west then we sure as hell wouldn't have beaten the Bulls.

Also I already mentioned that in 1995 I think we could have won, but 1994 no way.

Seriously in the 1994 finals Ewing played horrible and we barely won, and you think we would have stood a chance against the Bulls?

That seems fair. I guess I should agree with everything you say.

Yeah the Rockets would have swept the Bulls every year in the finals from 1991-1998. Hakeem was just too good and Jordan would have gotten shut down like always and averaged less than 27 ppg in a playoff series something that had never happened in any playoff series he had been in.

tinman, you sir are a Houston Rockets God.

Honestly, I only became a true fan when i was a lil' tacker in 94 watching the first championship happen, and i've been in love with the Rockets ever since.

Anyone who argues with tinman re: Houston Rockets circa HAKEEM'S REIGN....

    MEGA FAIL!!! :p

Yes he is good, but failing to acknowledge that another team who was better would have beaten the Rockets is just being a homer and biased and not a person who sees things truthfully.

But nothing...I mean NOTHING compares the Costas dissing we got after winning the 2nd one in '95. My opinion of the little general was tarnished forever after that gaffe. What an a-hole!

    Grrrrrrrr

I don't want to get into this too much but as someone who wasn't a fan of the NBA during the years the Rockets won, I can't see how anyone can say that their championships are less valid than the ones won say now, for example. Hey, Jordan isn't around, if somebody wants to put that asterisk next to the Rockets championships, why don't they do the same thing to all the Lakers/Spurs/the rest championships and continue to do that till the end of time?

If I were a true Rockets fan, I would have remembered it word for word, as if it were permanently etched in that part of my psyche used for hating - I am ashamed.

I think it was something to the effect of, "because Jordan wasn't playing, that the Rockets were the best team for now" or "at this moment" or something like, meaning that we weren't the best because we didn't do it against the Bulls and MJ.

i hate to break it to you, but that 92 Rockets Team destroyed the Bulls, that's without the addition of Mario Elie or Sam Cassell.

Kenny Smith was better than BJ Armstrong
Otis Thorpe and Grant were about even
Horry was more athletic than Pippen
Maxwell guarded Jordan 1-1. And based on Maxwell vs Jordan REAL HISTORY, Maxwell held Jordan below his average and the Maxwell team usually won.
Maxwell proved he could guard Jordan 1 on 1.

And nobody could guard Dream. PERIOD. Have you seen what happens when they don't double that Hakeem guy?

I know you're too proud of a rookie to acknowledge any of this, but WE SAW IT HAPPEN.

I have owned Michael Jordan shoes in the past, so no i don't dislike him.

Dude that is the dumbest comment someone could ever make. We didn't even make the playoffs in 1992. That's like saying the Bulls in 2002 owned the Lakers and they Bulls didn't even make the playoffs that year.

Those are the only two things you really need to know about the Rockets vs. Bulls matchup.

man, tinman serves up the knowledge AND he's rollin in dough...how does he do it. [/getting off jock]
