So.. denniscd, since you have the inside scoop... care to share what the Rockets are looking at in terms of the draft?

Also, who advocated the following moves:

    1. Draft Luther Head
    2. Trade Mike James for Rafer
    3. Sign Derek Anderson
    4. Trade Derek Anderson
    5. Trade Mo Taylor to the Knicks
    6. Trade 3 picks for Eddie Griffin
    7. Cut Eddie Griffin?

    Thanks.

    luther was lindsey
mj for rafer was the group
    cd pushed for signing anderson
jvg pushed to trade anderson because he wanted to play luther as much as possible
jvg wanted to trade mo to get out of the last year of his contract
cd and rudy and in particular les wanted the trade for griffin...they thought he was the best player in that draft
jvg wanted to cut griffin after he failed to show up multiple times for practice...they could have traded him the summer before during the draft for both of seattle's first round picks which turned out to be collison and ridnour and for a seattle player that im not sure exactly who they wanted...but cd thought griffin was better than the two draft choices...that was a difficult call

as far as this years draft...its all morey...he doesnt think his scouting staff has much to offer after lindsey left...he trusts some guy named hinke more than some guy named cooper. his eyes left when lindsey left...he will rely on coach a and his statistical evaluations which he keeps close to the vest. cd told everyone around the offices who he liked...less likely with morey

Hey Dennasty :D I dont want to know what you "claim" to know. Reason? Because it must have turned you into a pompass windbag and I wouldnt want that.

But I will stop the personal attacks.

90% of sports fans have no "inside" knowledge....that doesnt decrease one's knowledge of their sport of choice.

I can like American Dad, or family Guy without having inside info on Seth Macfarlen......Why pray tell do I need inside info on the Rockets to know about basketball?

This will come as a shock to Carl and others who insist JVG had no power over personnel.

Why people will waste time to reply to some crap make up by a moron.

CD is going to retire. His work with Yao will be temporary. Skima will take over eventually.

As long as Elson Turner was available, Adelman would take Turner as Lead Assistant. I dont think Tom Thibodeau would take a demotion to remain with the Rockets even if Adelman offered him a position.

As for Lindsey, the Rockets take their time to find his replacement is a good decision. To say the Rockets wont replace their scouting head is just plain stupid.

What about Rashard Denniscd? Did CD break his promise to draft him?

Also, is it true that CD made playing time promises to V-Span?

    Thx.
