Haha.. I see we have another real insider. Denniscd definitely is an insider or is very good friends with someone in the organization.

Typical Les move. He'd probably outsource the scouting department to India if he could figure out a way to make it work.

It is good having an insider-we will now know the why and when......

Now - I need help with investments. Do you like the Blackstone IPO?

How about the weather in Southeast Texas? I have an asphalt paving project we are doing and need help planning the work schedule around rain.

Horry, Elie, Cassell, Drexler, Barkley, Mobley, Dickerson, Francis ... yeah, those were terrible moves. I assume Rudy is responsible for all those moves right? He must be since he had all the power. Are we saying only the "bad" moves count?

I guess he also sat down and drew up contracts, including the dollar amounts and number of years, right?

Hand-cuffed? Yeah, poor Rockets, being handcuffed with two top 10 players the last few years. That sucks.

this is the way it works even in the rockets office's by cd. blame rudy for all the bad moves. take all the credit for the good moves. then tell everyone rudy is your best friend. know this...rudy could take or leave cd because he knows whats been said behind his back.

    denniscd, question for you....

i have never seen an organization with less culpability than the rockets. no one person can be pinned down for trades, free agent signings, releases, etc. the eddie griffin trade was blamed as rudy's (head coach), yet the battier trade was hailed as cd's.

with most organizations, the gm is the head honcho...the decision maker. the coach is typically "team manager" insofar as he coaches whomever the gm gives him. sure, he has a rubber stamp on deals, but he really has no true "veto power". nor does he have the power to acquire players. most coaches won't even suggest who they want on the team because of the obvious conflict of interest with his players. they are in the foxhole together...no way the coach mentions getting rid of one of them.

so, my question is: what is the true rocket hierarchy? who is really culpable for what?

    Verse,

denniscd does not work for the organization, he has a friend that works there, and is apparently very bitter at CD.

He is no more an expert on the Rockets and their heirarchy than you or I.

honestly I think you are full of ****.

I don't believe your fulltime work is in basketball unless you are selling basketball racks to teams or something. Your "insider" is a friend and not you. Morey just stated they are taking their time replacing Lindsey - no mention of not replacing him.

You come off as an arrogant back stabbing scum sucker so I'm not suprised you don't work for the organization - although my intuition tells me that you tried to work for them at one time and the interview with CD didn't go well.

One thing I am firmly convinced of is that you are a first class a$$hole.

    Regards,
    Brock

verse, this is how it worked with the rockets...rudy had final say until he left with cd doing the leg work. rudy leaves, cd and les assume more power on deals. les is way more involved than most would assume. he did the mo taylor deal over rudy's objections...this is a move that lindsey oppossed vehemently and almost got fired for it. when morey was hired, cd was blindsided that he was being forced out. morey set up the battier deal and les turned more and more to him as the season went along. after the trade deadline, morey assumed full control...then they just had to figure out how to put cd out to pasture gracefully...cd undermined thibodeau...got adelman not to hire him so he could work with yao. what a prince

cd the swift deal...no one else thought he was worth the gamble, all liked alston over james because of free agency issues and salary cap ramifications, les on taylor, rudy on cato
