I have to say, I am also wondering the same thing. I have a 1/2 season right now and I likely will downgrade that to 10 gm pack, if anything next season. It is a crap load of money and the whole experience for me is just not so good. The food is awful. There is only one way up/down from the upper deck (the escalator from hell). They largely ignore the people in the upper deck. The stupid seats don't even have cup holders up there. The halftime/timeout entertainment is a complete joke. The fans are boring and most of the arrive in the 2nd qtr and leave in the 3rd (cause we losing). I'll wait to see how I feel later but I may not do it again. But I'll still watch on TV...esp if they ditch Van Chancelor and Cooper.
i'm ecstatic that i have a new name for this guy! r****ded coach, r****ded, offense, r****ded players...man, there seems to be no end...
SIGH..... It's so easy to tell the true Rockets fans from the standard FAIR WEATHER FAN. I'm glad you're giving away your tickets cuz no one wants you there anyway.
Do realize that we pay tickets to be entertained, but we are not getting what we paying for. True fan? If you want to pay to watch the team lose, be my guest.
So true, if we go on a streak, they'll be bandwagoning back, saying they always had faith...blah, blah, blah.....
Go back and think about it. Why would you hire a coach who basically quit in NY, is known as a world class sad sack and teaches the opposite style of ball that fans want to see. Fans want a coach who they can admire ,like Rudy, Rileyor Phil. Fans want a coach who can inspire confidence and enthusiasm in his team. People loved Showtime, The running Kings, and now the Nash powered Suns. (though to be fair with Yao as the teams key player the Rockets were never going to Run and Gun) So if you wanted to hire a coach to help sell tickets, JVG probably wouldn't be on your radar.
I pay for tickets and I also drive down from Dallas and have been for 5 years since I moved up there. My point is that real fans stick with the team, good or bad.
You are a dumb ass. As if the Rockets have been anything stellar the last five years or so. What exactly are we bandwagoning on? We are here because we are true fans, but are tired of wasting hard earned money on a non-entertaining product. If we were bandwagoners we would have been on a Lakers, Spers or a Pistons website.
I love the Rockets, always have always will. I havent watched half as many games this year and last as I normally do. I think with people talking about not renewing their tickets, I think it time to put a little coffee in your pot and wake up Les, Wake up CD. People arent happy this product. Its time to break the bacnk for a change or shake things up with a firing.
im addicted to the the rockets they are my life but i have to honestly say i went to the game and was so bored, and i never say that about basketball especially the rockets
Anyone posting in this forum IS A REAL FAN. Because you disagree, don't insult people who have different views, that is ridiculous. A fan is a fan....and no one is a bigger fan than anyone else. SHEESH !!! DD
If this were Rudy, Steve, and Cuttino and they were struggling, I would stick with them no matter what, watch them religiously and my whole mood of any particular day would depend on the Rocket game the night before. However that team is gone. The Houston Rockets that I was a fan of are gone. Now we have NY coaches, were trying to imitate the Lakers with our “2 superstars and a bunch of scrubs” And our uniforms look like the Chinese national team Not to mention the way they turned their back on long time Rocket Calvin Murphy even after he was found not guilty. This team could be undefeated and I still wouldn’t like them. They went from a 1st class organization to a bunch of unloyal sellouts RIP Houston Rockets 1967-2003
I'm a little frustrated that we're rebuilding again - in a season immediately after finally making the playoffs. I'm especially frustrated at rebuilding when I see half the team that we put together excelling in the East while we can't even beat the lowly Bobcats. Can we start this season over and try it again?
