lol, i love all the psychiatrists in here diagnosing tracy with severe depression after he says, \"It\'s wearing and tearing at me. This weight has gotten heavy for me and it\'s taking a toll.\"

i\'m pretty sure if we were winning right now tracy would be feeling a lot better.

Right, same as the shrinks saying "he needs to suck it up"

I dont know what it is, and neither do you. Thats why all of that kind of commentary is ignorant.

Obviously there is something wrong with him. Even Ray Charles can see that.

Why get mad? That's the American ideal. That's what our society is all about. Money cures all.

Yep, you were defending Francis when he chose the Super Bowl over the team. And now you bash TMac for being affected by 7 deaths. Yeah, have mercy.

It's something worse than family members passing away. I guess it's either

    1) the newborn is not his genetic son, or
    2) the newborn is SERIOUSLY sick

Of course this is all speculation, but the best rumor I heard, that would seem plausabile, is that T-Mac's girl cheated on him, and it's evident by now, that T-Mac isn't the father.

That's harsh. But a rumor is a rumor. I would say we don't need to know the truth, just wish him well...SOON.

man, a lot of you guys out there are horrible. i personally havent gone through anything MAJOR in my life. i had a couple deaths, including a great uncle and grandmother, but no one that was very close in my life. this doesnt meant im going to tell tmac to piss off and play basketball.

if he has problems, then i will believe him. if it is hurting him mentally, then i wish him well. there is something in everyone's life that can mess them up mentally. each person is different. who is everyone to judge tmac and what he should or shouldnt be depressed about. so the boy's got money and everything looks good. money aint everything man.

i dont know what is going on with tmac, but as a fan i dont want his life off court to be a mess. i want the guy to be great on the court for the rockets and great off the court as well. in the end...i dont think i want many of yall as my friends bc if i ever have a problem and all you got to say is "man up," "suck it up," and "there are people that have it worse than you." what ever happened to COMPASSION these days?

Please leave Tmac alone. NBA is just business, Rox is not going to make palyoff this year under JVG. Personal life is more important than businnes for someone, but not for everone. Tmac is not only probelm when we are not winning.

You are severely mistaken, only the ones that follow evil all the way to eternal damnation believe in that philosophy.

The post I replied to said if we were winning "right now" Tracy wouldn't be feeling so bad. Winning 7 out of 8 means we're winning right now. We didn't hear anything about Tracy's crisis until the last week or so...while we were winning right now.

Why would Tracy be fine while we're losing and then fake a crisis right when we start winning? That was my point.

Some of these posts are so ridiculous and ahole-ian that I almost feel like the author is joking. I think TMac deserves the benefit of the doubt. What he did last year in the playoffs against Dallas showed that he has heart. Without knowing anything more about what he's going through, he deserves that much.

I'm concerned about Tracy speaking to the media about his "personal problems".

Tmac, seek advice from close friends and family, management or teammates, but these's no need to spill your guts to the media about how you have all these, "personal problems" deeply affecting you mentally.

I'm really concerned about how TMac has recently told the media how much all his personal problems has been affecting his play. Such as, wishing he never showed up to the arena in uniform sometimes, and telling Van Gundy how he wants to go away somewhere by himself for some "alone time" and not tell anybody where. If Van Gundy decided to take an unscheduled visit to TMac's home to discuss his troublesome problems, you know JVG is seriously concerned.

As one of the teams 2 leaders, if TMac decided to just up and leave somewhere to deal with his "personal problems" in this critical point in the season, I would lose my respect for him. I thought he would be more mentally tough that that.

Last night on TNT, they showed clips from TMac's interview looking as though he's in deep depression. Charles Barkley said everything TMac said was a cop-out, and needs to start playing better, he's just a "good player" not great. Magic Johnson said if he had personal problems, basketball was always his escape from any problems in real life. He said with TMac's, it's the opposite. It didn't sound right to him. Magic added, if it was him experiencing the problems, he'd take it out on somebody on court, "If it was me, Sunday night on the court, somebody gonna be 'In Trouble!", taking his wrath out on all his opponents.

Time will tell if he will actually leave to take some time off away from basketball, but if he does, you can expect to see more signs like this one:

It's tough to judge T-Mac without knowing exactly what's going on. I mean it really could be something bad. But I admit in the back of my mind I have been having similar thoughts.

I wish T-Mac was more like Yao. Yao has completely changed countries and cultures, learned a new language, has to play year round sometimes, is under the microscope and gets all type of criticism. Yet his work ethic and heart are unquestioned. I think Yao loves the game and wants to be the best. Does T-Mac?
