You want to trade a multi-million making shooting guard for a sophomore point guard? Are you saying TMac doesn't take it to the hole?

Shoot- if that's the criteria for a trade, then trade McGrady for me- I'm tough, I'm strong, I'm not a quitter or whiner, my back is fine, and I can certainly take the ball to the hole.

On the other hand, I'm 5'10", shoot about a 25% field goal percentage and 48% on free throws, can outjump my 10 year-old son but few others, and routinely have the ball that I've just taken to the hole rejected by a 13 year-old girl who deems herself "Cheryl Miller-Swoopes."

Wow, McGrady for Ben Gordon. Just wow. How about an all-Huskie lineup of Richard Hamilton, Ben Gordon, Emeka Okafor, Ray Allen, and Charlie Villanueva? Cool.

Lose the stress t-mac. I got a positive vibe for the second half. I predict one more small trade happens and we're rolling through the western conference for the last spot in the playoffs.

If Mcgrady created a bad set of circumstances for his self by going out and cheating on his wife then people would be less understanding. But this is something totally out of his control. Perhaps it's has something to do with the health of his newborn son, or daughter, or wife. Whatever it is, for it to have this much of an impact on him, his wife and kids are going through rough times too. Mcgrady deserves all our sympathy and support right now. Ridiculing him about the way he is handling it when we don't know what it is , I don't think thats the right response. Having a critical opinion about the way another man is handling the private affairs of his life when not having a clue as to what they are is for lonely old women with nothing better to do. It's not as if the man if not showing up to work. He is but he's just performing not up to his standards. If I have a wife or kid who is seriously ill it's going to be a tough deal to play basketball with the focus and energy and attitude I normally play with but you still show up and go to work. Mcgrady has done nothing wrong, he's just letting us know that something has happened within the family and it is having a negative impact on his game. There's nothing wrong with that.

Unless he a**-raped someone or shot and killed someone, which I am unaware of, then the death/health of close friends/family members is out of his hands and something he can't control.

    Do you refute that?

what happened to the "not our business" part? Even if T-mac does make any kind of public statement, I say butt out and get on with your life.

Its not even about believing, its about him not using that as an excuse. I have never once said I'm tired of tracy talking about his back. because that's a legitimate concern as far as affecting his play. I have never once complained that the rockets may have traded for an injured player. yes I have criticized his play knowing the back may have been a problem, but I wouldn't criticize him for talking about his back.

the team basically gives up in phonenix, and all of sudden we hear about personal issues, please.

my issue is using these "problems" as an excuse and not clarifying. these "problems" do not look serious when you are clowing around with your all-star buddies. these "problems" can't be too serious when your shrink is charles barkley and you only need one conversation with him to make you feel better.

He has mentioned that before, at least after the clippers game. He said he "exorcized the demons". I think he thought he got over it, but it turned out to be false. I hope he get over it this time for good.

Barkley is a big-mouth. But he doesn't strike me as a heartless person. Sometimes, just by talking to someone you trust will help you. I guess Tmac trusts him.
