Im fairly certain the student is accurate when he says that the teacher just hands out packets. He's passionate enough about it where I think I can safely assume he is on the right track with that. When a teacher does that, there is a level of laziness that is inherent with that style of teaching.

During the kids rant, you can hear her say things like "I dont care", "bye", "get out", "bye", "okay", "bye", "Ive got things to do", "just go, bye", etc... The teacher is even lazy when responding to him.

I have no doubts that he has a point regarding the teacher...Also, Im sure the kid didnt know he was getting recorded, so the purpose of his rant wasnt to embarrass the teacher in front of the nation, but he was standing up for the other kids in the class, which is totally fine by me.

What a self-righteous brat. No one is entitled to an education. I haven't seen the teacher teach, and I've had many teachers in my years of public education simply not give a ****. She still gets the benefit of the doubt without me having actually seen her teach. He had no right to do what he did. He should have talked to another authoritative figure like the principal. I'm sure he would take him seriously and greeted him with milk and cookies the moment he stepped in his office to sit with him and discuss his ideas regarding effective teaching.

I've had good teachers and bad teachers. The bad ones are lazy and pretty much handout grades. The worst ones play favorites with their students. Then there are those who do the bare minimum and let the packets/book do the teaching. Finally, there are the one's who try. That's all I really care about good or bad. You can't point a finger at employees in other industries and say they don't show up every day and put effort into their job. Well, they aren't responsible for the education of thousands of students. If they forget to put cheese on my burger then they get fired, I ask for a new one, or I eat by burger without cheese.

I think the kid's a dumbass but he's trying to better himself. He thinks he can't make it without an education, so he gave our education system another shot. He see's a teacher failing him and he wants her to care. She doesn't. I'd think it's a waste of time to get up and teach him and a bunch of random giggling idiots too, but that's her job. She knows she won't be reprimanded as long as most students pass with some A's and some B's.
