Why do we automatically assume his speech is accurate, unbiased and well meaning?
Why do we automatically assume the teacher is lazy, bad, etc?

Next time you all liking this video . . . . .decided to talk about how much you love and respect teachers
and how valuable education is . .. .
make sure you lean your head completely to the otherside of your neck

Who cares if he was right? I'm not in that class nor do I know the teacher so I can't make an educated opinion on that matter. But I do know you're not supposed to call our your teacher in front of the class. If he was serious, he would've talked to her in private.

I don't believe in disrespecting your teacher, but at least he was standing up for what he thought was right. I didn't do that- I had some pretty crappy teachers in my time, but my solution was to keep my mouth shut, survive, and learn as much as I could on my own, do as well as I could in order to get where I wanted to go. Fortunately for me, that worked out well.

The one thing I will call BS on is people saying that he should have brought it up to the administration privately. Come on, now- you think a school would take his complaints seriously? They would judge him at the door just the way some people are on this forum just by his hair and his dropout record, just to ignore him. The only reason the school has to address this is because it went viral. Otherwise it would have just been a kid complaining about a teacher who probably doesn't have a bad track record.

 

I am absolutely shocked that some of the same people who ragged on me for being annoyed at the workforce that i have to choose from are backing a kid throwing a tantrum in class. Obviously beimg loud, obnoxious, and entitled will make these kids go far in life. Congratulations kiddo, the teachers authority is gone and even more kids in your class will suffer because of this. But thats ok, you got to speak your piece. Eff the man

 

Lets be real. We both know its cuz the kid is white that some folks are gonna give him a pass on acting like a fool in class. If he was black, itd be entirely different. They see a white kid acting up and they empathize with him because hes their skin color. Aint nothing wrong wih that, humans are what we are and we wont change. Just dont be pretending you are above that just because you signed a petition or voted for obama.

Well after watching the kid's interview... I have concluded that he's a simple, self righteous, unintelligent brat.

...albeit with nice hair. Wonder what shampoo he uses.

 

Completely different situations. One is a dumbass kid responding to an ad to complain about a low wage. This kid believes teachers should spend more time teaching and less time grading papers.

I think teachers need to be paid more that way more qualified people demand the job.

 

I think it's the same. In both cases, they could have used better ways to communicate their feelings. Had he approached me in a more respectful tone, I would have seriously considered his request provided he had worked in food industry before. At the very least, I would have told him he'd be eligible for a raise early if he impressed me with his work ethic.

In the classroom example, there are definitely terrible teachers out there who are only there to collect a paycheck. Had the kid made his feelings known in a less disrespectful and idiotic way, I would take him seriously. Unfortunately, he comes off as an entitled, selfish, dumb and crass moron who acts without thinking first. Because of the totally stupid way he presents himself, I don't even focus on whether the teacher is a good one or not. I just know a student doing that utterly destroys any credibility or authority that a teacher has.

Either the kid was frustrated or he's an attention w****. If he was
frustrated then that wasn't the proper way to voice his displeasure,
all he did was set the example for the next kid who thinks self control
is optional!
