To people thinking LA would trade Pau for Scola and 2 scrubs... Keep dreaming. We'd have to be a third team in any deal to get him. They won't want Martin, they have Kobe, and they won't want our developing scrubs.

Pau Gasol is still one of the best bigs in the NBA. I would trade just about anyone on the team to get him but the OP's offer is a bit much...

As noted by MJ and JB on ESPN.

The 800 lbs gorilla in the room is a deal of Bynum or Pau and Odem (and maybe even add Shannon Brown) for Dwight H.

Those are big time assets for facilitating a trade for a super star.

All the right pieces will magically show up with Kobe and DH on your roster.

And so the rich keep getting richer......:(

Yeah it'd probably have to be a 3-team sending Martin for a PG (Raymond Felton?)

I imagine Dwight Howard and Jameer Nelson. Question is if Orlando still wants to compete or blow it up and just try to build around a 22 year old Bynum. I bet they go and swap Gasol for what the best offer is, and look to be a force the year after Arenas' terrible contract is off the books ha. But they still could try and compete because even with just Gasol Bynum they'll be top 6 in the East ha it's that sad.

He played center for Lakers at the beginning of the season while Bynum was out. He did pretty well with it.

No thanks, both Hayes and Scola are better players.

Yeah umm if I wanted a soft PF who's gonna give me 16/9 in the playoffs (actually the Lakers would have been THRILLED if they got 16/9 from him this year lmao) I'll go with Scola since he's not a choker.

I know I'm being hopeful, but imagine trotting out Yao and Pau. Biggest twin towers yet.

Scola and Lowry? I thought Pau's trade value was somewhere in the Kwame Brown range?

It is much closer to Kwame than Scola + Lowry but CFs' desperation has caused delusion.

I wasn't referencing this season, I was citing his averages in a Laker uniform.

If I were talking about only this season, then I would have said 13/5 and compared him to someone worse than Scola, like Landry or someone. But Landry has heart too and isn't a choker.

Pau plays Center . . . he immediately becomes not less than the 4th best center in the league

    Howard - Bynum - M. Gasol *smile* - P. Gasol???

    Who else is there?

I think Pat Patterson needs to start next year. Time to develope him more.
So I would be ok with losing scola . . .
I think I would be ok with Lee being a full time starter over K Mart
I like K Mart - but I think Lee's D will make up for his lack of pure O that K Mart has.

No I think they would be looking to move Gasol for Dwight Howard. Gasol alone wouldnt do it because he is old. So it would take Gasol and Bynum to get Dwight Howard.

Pau Gasol is the most skilled big man in the league right now and is the main reason why the Lakers won two titles, despite of what happened in the playoffs this year. Pau should still have three to four good years left in his career and his trading value could not be any lower than it is now.

Trade for Pau Gasol. I'm all for it.
